Only been with these guys for 3 months and they have lived up to their reputation. Got an issue solved at 3am this morning. Just like to share that.

Just when I thought I had deleted my site they had it restored from backup in 10 minutes. Good job guys.

😁 Digital Pacific is the best I have used
I have used 5 of the top web hosting companies and in fact have a few accounts with some of them still. I wanted to spread my sites over a few companies in case one fell over.

I must say out of all of the companies I use, Digital Pacific are the best in relation to uptime and customer support. They have been around for 10 years now and they are a solid organisation.

I have had issue after issue with other companies I use. I am about to break my rule of using one hosting company and move all of my sites over to DP. That was my 2012 New Years Resolution, I wont look back.

If you are looking for a reliable hosting company, then they should be in your shortlist. They are not the cheapest but not expensive either and from experience the cheapest does not mean the best. I have tried them all.

If you want to sleep at night, dont waste your time looking around....

Shared hosting packages include all basic features: backups, network monitoring, DDoS protection, as well as databases, e-mail accounts or domains. One inconvenience is that a lot of hosting companies offer features, such as domains or databases in unlimited amounts, but these resources are configured differently here.

Reseller packages are white labeled and include private nameservers. Maintenance and server monitoring is made through cPanel/WHM.

VPS servers are instantly deployed and they are easily scalable. At the same time, automatic kernel updates guarantee the security of the server. All VPS servers run on Cloud Linux OS and include 1 IP address.

Dedicated servers are powered by Dell. These use Juniper hardware for security and also include DDoS protection. Besides the pre-configured servers, customers can also customize their own configurations. Their network runs on 40Gbit Ethernet backbone.

😁 Digital Pacific - Excellent support
I have been a customer of Digital Pacific for over 2 years now and can not fault it. The technical support guys helped me whenever I had a question, were always friendly and went out of their way to assist me on more than one occasion. Their prices are extremely reasonable, especially when you consider they have all their servers in Australia and do not outsource technical support. Enough said, I would recommend this company to absolutely everyone.

😁 I know Andrew the CEO of Digital pacific for over 10 years he always wanted me to move my hosting over to him. I was lazy and paid the price. I was with AXDHosting and had my server down for 9 hours at one time and could not even speak to a real person. However I called Digital Pacific and spoke to one of their Support staff Micheal, who helped me transfer my site and many of my customers over as well. They even took me through the process of how to migrate sites over I learned a lot.

I even got support on a Saturday with a real person in Australia not an Indian in India.

I would like to thank all at Digital pacific for all their help.

I will teach you all something: you get what you pay for and if you want a cheap hosting account be prepared to get cheap support.

😁 I Have had hosting with Digital Pacific for around 8 months now and I thought I shoud give them the recommendation they deserve. It very rare these days to come across companies that actually care about there customers.
When I signed up they called me a day later to see how everything was going with my account and if that they could help with anything at all. I thought that was my job to call them when I was stuck but here is this company going above and beyond the call of duty to reach out to their customers. Now that's service!! Today I had a problem with a web form that I had stuffed up and they restored it from a backup they had from a hour ago as they stated they snapshot backups or whatever every hour. Then they called me to see if it was working the way I wanted and they made some config changes.

I have had a few web hosting companies in the past but digital pacific tops the list. They also have a long history (11 years) in the game as well and they know their stuff. I [read more...]

😁 ive been with digital pacific for a few years and i have to say i have been happy with the service and the rates. yes the server has been down a couple of times but to be honest it hasnt affected me to much.

on several occasions i have had to ring the company to upload a new site or whatever, and on every occasion whom ever i dealt with every time has gone above and beyond to help me with my question.

maybe this business has made a mistake or two over time with some people "big deal" from my experience i wouldnt use anyone else.

😁 Great Service great support, there is no 24/7 support yet but they have told me this is something that is happening very soon.

I must admit I had an issue outside of their business hours and did get a reply to my email within an hour. It seems that there is always someone looking at support requests 24/7

They have been around for almost 10 years and they know what they are doing. They are definitely a professional outfit!

They have cPanel and Plesk now so there is a great choice of control panels.

😠 Worst webhosting company i have used, i moved over from to reduce costs and in the end costing me more.

I would not recommend using this company for any hosting plans, seems like downtime occurs when there is no support.

no 24/7 support is dissapointing.

😁 I have my own site with digital pacific and have signed up 10 or so clients with them. The level of support is fantastic, and I have not been aware of any down time during the time I have been with them (no doubt there has been some, but it has been short enough that it hasn't caused me any problems). The prices are good but not the best, but I've gone with the cheaper hosts before and the support is where it suffers - with digital pacific I can call any time during extended working hours and get immediate support. The extra features they offer are pretty good - I don't have a lot of experience with other hosts in that respect, but anything I have looked for has been available. Strongly recommend!

😁 These guys are fantastic, helped me transfer my website from my old host to them.

Their after sales support is excellent. It's not often I leave reviews for companies but I thought I would go the extra mile to leave them one since they went the extra mile when helping me get set up :-)

Recommend this company without any hesitation!

😁 1. We have only had around 15 requests in the past 9 years for a refund. Most of them was because our system was not compatible with their software. We always give refunds, if requested we always like to make the customer happy. Obviously this is a competitors review.

2. The control Panel has been updated to a newer version, we will admit that the old one was not the best but now we are using both Plesk and cPanel which are the same as many other hosting companies.

3. We hold a better up-time than 95% hosting companies out there, research will tell you this.

Overall we have been around for almost 10 years and have build a very reputable business with good Australian based customer support. Nothing is outsourced overseas.

😞 It their website they advertise this: "We dont have any Joining fees or Lock in contracts, so you are free to leave when ever you like. You can stay with us for 1 month, 12 months or years, its up to you. "
Nevertheless, after few months I would like to cancel my hosting with them, they told me they will never refund (I paid one year hosting in advance. ) I was like.. what the.. if there is no contract, then what is their right to keep my money and provide no service????
I wrote an email to them.. this customer service said oh, we can credit to another account hosting with them... but I dont have one.. then next email another customer service guy said.. oh.. no, we dont do refund at all.... O_O their service is very lousy... and beware of this no contract bullshit.

😃 Would be even better with 24/7 support, or at least longer hours. Good features, worst ControlPanel of any hosting company - even the free ones.

But the uptime is so good, and the servers are fast - not as fast as MelbourneIT but still good.

😁 I've now got about ten sites with Digital Pacific and like Mark have only had about 30 minutes down time. And from the whirlpool threads it looks like they hardly go down either. I don't know what Nicholas is talking about - wouldn't some of my sites have been effected by this downtime? I find the service very fast and friendly.

😁 I have been with Digital Pacific for the good part of 3 years now and have had a total of about 30 minutes per year downtime, thats 1.5 hours in 3 years, better than most hosting companies. Im not sure where you get your stats from nicholas..

I can't believe how bad digital pacific is. In the past two months our website and the entire Digital Pacific website/system has been down several times for hours at a time. I can't believe it! We do business with other hosting services ie. ix webhosting, Media Temple, Gate.com, etc and have never had this problem.

NEVER HOST WITH DIGITAL PACIFIC!
