The BASIC,BASIC, BASIC stuff is fine, but if you want to improve your site in any way at all..YOU will need A BOTTLE OF BULLETS...Read carefully, this could hurt you.

SquareSquareSpaceace targets newbies to web design. The template are easy, and set up is quick. But any real improvements in your site will take programming knowledge...Any anyone with web design knowledge doesn't have time to waste with SquareSpace's limited pallet....and Newbies can't Help newbies..Its like the illiterate leading the blind.

After 3 months with SQ, this will hapepen to you.

!. The excitement of having a bare-bones site wears off and you are going to try to improvement the look workings of your site..ADVIL...HEADACHE

2. If your site gains any popularity, you are going to try and improve the relationship to your visitors and the functionality of your site...GUN....REMOVE YOUR HEADACHE

This is what the above means to you:
When you get to the point discribed above, you will have to decide whether to stay with SquareSpace or not. Staying means wasting time learning bits and pieces of code (YES YOU WILL NEED CODE TO IMPROVE THE SITE TO ANY REASONABLE, CURRENT, STANDARD) instead of creating content for your site. You are going add on some code that you picked up from the SquareSpace community in order to get 'kinda, what you want, ..ish" on your site. Do you know what var listOptionUrl = $(this).attr('href'); is?/means?. Tape that code on the head of your css code injection point and hope for the best. As you get more and more content and visitors will this 'scotch tape' of a site you have so lovingly created be efficient? Maybe not. Is it time to move on?

In all fairness to SQ, they do hold true to breaking up your contract, no haste, no hidden charge. More importantly thought, you will have to go find some other place to go, packing up your site and setting it up again somewhere else. Sound simple? Remember you now nothing about code, uploading sites and resetting templates and pointing URLs. Is where you are going compatible with the bits and pieces of code you picked to create this big bubble of wrapping tape you make up along the way from the SquareSpace community.? The SquareSpace community is filled with people just like you. Good people trying to find their way in the dark. They are helpful and they do try, but the really experenced Coders are not on SquareSquareSpaceace remember! The answers on the SquareSpace community board come from friends of friends and trial and error, and error, and error. Yep, the same code you just copied into your darling of a site in order to get something as seemingly simple like an "archive pull-down box" to work. The tech staff of squareSquareSpaceace doesn't seem to answer the open questions that are left on the community board. You kow the ones...the ones you REALLY NEED THE ANSWERS TO. Come on SquareSpace, fill in the spaces please.

Have you ever spent night after night in the same bed with someone you really want to break up with but just haven't because,....? Its just like that....but with monthly charges.

advance plan

The sqaurespace help is just the same, very basic..After 3 months this will hapepen to you.
