Very very very bad!
We cancelled our VPS'es (6 of them), due to the fact, that their swedish connection, on wich our servers was connected to, was constantly down due to DDoS.
Then these guys at hosthatch decides to terminate and delete our VPS'es, in some instances 15 days before the end of the paid period.
We have effectively lost our website, our client controlpanel, our backups etc.

This was the case a few months ago where our upstream ISP was receiving large attacks, we had ~3 hours of packet loss spread over a few days in 2 years of hosting there. We were constantly in contact with our customers and updated them on the issue while working on a resolution. There is no established provider in the market who will not have faced such an issue once or twice. The client used the servers for several months after this was already fully resolved, we never heard any complains from this or any other client - not sure what this has to do with the cancellation.

When someone cancels their server, they are presented with the option to cancel it "immediately", or at the "end of the billing period". The client was clearly aware of these options as they have previously cancelled their servers with the "end of billing period" option.

This time, the client chose to cancel their servers with the "immediate" option, which obviously presents a warning that all the data will be cleared, then an email confirming that the server will be cancelled within the next 24 hours. The client chose to ignore both. After the server was already cancelled, the client opened a ticket with us asking "why have you deleted our servers?" -- we explained that "we" have not deleted any servers. The client used the automated cancellation option in our system to get his servers cancelled and used the immediate option, where two warnings are presented. The client's answer was "I did not pay attention to that" (exact words).

It is kind of ironic how the client uses the words "Then these guys at hosthatch decides to terminate and delete our VPS'es" here when he/they clearly know it was their own mistake which led to this. We did not delete their servers. They deleted their servers themselves.

If you choose to press the delete button on all your data, there is nothing we can do to stop you. Please blame us for the things we are responsible for but please do not blame us for you yourself deleting your own servers.

Are you going to blame the Linux developers and call them morons for including the "rm -rf /" or format commands because you cannot be bothered to see what the command actually does (even after 2 clear warnings) which "you did not pay attention to"?
