Hostalia is playing seriously unfunny games with inodes

Everything about Hostalia seems normal. Until you actually open an account and look at what is really there. I opened a basic Linux VPS Centos account - Experts only (no Plesk with root access). 1 mg ram memory and 25 GB disk.

Okay. First of all there was no Yum installed. How is that possible. My only access is root, and there is no YUM installed. Research showed me if not YUM is installed it is NOT a Centos system. I later find out it is a VZ template. They decided to install YUM. Good.

I install cPanel (I have my own licence). I migrate 4 joomla webs. Resource alert: only 6000 inodes left! I look, and sure enough, this VPS package comes with a whooping 200,000 inodes! I do battle with them. NO GO. They are not going to change my inodes. Impossible they say! If I want to improve my account I need to switch to (LOL at this one) a DEDICATED SERVER!!! WOW. I tried to explain to them that even CENTOS, even VIRTUOZZO recommend a 1:10 ration for inodes (that would have given me 2,500,000 - plenty to work with.

They stand their ground. 200,000 inodes for a 25 GIG drive.

So I moved, within two days, towards getting my guaranteed refund (30 days) and haven't hear a word from them in 5 days.

So. ON paper they look great: lots of uptime, good servers, more or less good technical support.

But folks, you cannot operate a VPS on 200,000 inodes. I did a test, and removing all my webs, only with cPanel, Im at 75% inodes GONE. Not even an index.html page running. This is not the way to do business, and I do not understand why they refuse to just UP my inodes to make me happy, like other providers have done when someone draws their attention to this technical problem. No inodes, no more FILE creations. Period.
