Eatj blackmailed my client.
My client, owner of a 20 employees size accounting company, unfortunately hosted a Java web application in EATJ.
After an year or more of paying the bills in time through PayPal he cancelled a payment because he didn't know that the payment was from EATJ, I mean, he forgot that EATJ was the hosting provider company. Unfortunately I was not informed about this situation and his account was suspended.
Two years later EATJ claims my client $25 to release his source code and database backup containing valuable information. They demanded the payment to not be done through PayPal as they alleged not trusting my client.
Silly behaviour of a small business owner who knows nothing about customer relationship.
Situation seemed fairly understandable until they suddenly claimed more money. They claimed not $25 but $100 to release the code and the information. The reason for the unexpected increase being extra costs to unzip an old backup and extract my clients code and information.
That is called blackmail in all it's forms.
