I was on a paid hosting account with these pundits for nearly three years. I noticed a lot of downtime, but I was always too lazy to change my hosting. I chose this company mainly because they were offering the best packages for the best cost IN CANADA. I won't make that mistake again. The features weren't too bad (all of their modules, Perl, CGI, etc., were up to date), and they had a mysql and phpmyadmin built into their VERY confusing control panel. Their version of offering scripts was providing a list of guestbooks, blogware, counters, etc. that you could use if you happened to visit the respective site and download them for installing them on the server. There are no automatic scripting like Fantastico, or anything like that. It should also be mentionned that when I finally made the move to another webhost that neither the site backup which I made from the admin control panel, nor my database dump worked when I tried to import them into my new hosting (both were corrupted). I had countless problems with them which culminated into one huge fiasco at the end of my hosting time with them. It started when I noticed that my Coppermine Galleries would no longer allow batch uploads. The tech support didn't know what they were doing and it didn't seem that there was any communication happening between them and the system admin. All they had to do was change a few lines in the php.ini and add a few exceptions to their configuration, but they couldn't figure it out. They were also running in a poorly configured safe mode. Through their efforts to fix the problem, they succeeded in completely crippling my galleries. Then I found out that they had done something that also affected my MT blog. They then messed up that install as well. Finally, the icing on the cake was when I visited my site one day (while I was still having these problems), and discovered that my entire site was down. They had disabled my account due to the fact that the export utility on MT "terminated unexpectedly" twice (it was probably just a matter of permissions or a config file that wasn't running perfectly after my recent upgrade). They interpretted this as one of those old MT hacking vulnerabilities, which don't happen anymore. They didn't even notify me about that and wouldn't do anything about putting things back to the way they were before. In the end, I was unable to hold a connection via FTP, I couldn't get into phpmyadmin or mysql admin to get a proper dump of my site (since the first try didn't work), they were slow about putting the nameserver changes into effect, and the support became deaf towards my problems.

All in all, this company is a travesty to the webhosting community. I can't believe I stayed with them so long. Due their negligence and ineptitude, I had to rebuild my entire site by hand and, since I couldn't get any database dumps or archive exports, I had to re-enter 3 years worth of blog posts MANUALLY. Until you've had to do that yourself, you have no idea how much work that is.

Don't go with this sorry excuse for a webhost, you'll only regret it.
