The windows reseller package control panel is a disaster (dotnetpanel) from both a user and reseller viewpoint. It continually fail and renders the possibility of reselling the hosting impossible unless I spent all my time on supporting my customers and liasing with cyberhostpro support. Stats dont work, Cant install ASP.NET apps from the control panel, webconfig file continually gets corrupted. The control panel is out of support and to my knowledge there are no plans to change it out.
Now that dotnetpanel has gone open source the only hope is that someone can devlop it further so that it is operable.
On the positive side the reseller account is fully loaded from a technology viewpoint, and the support team could not be more helpful. However, the control panel makes my investment in the reseller account a very poor deal as it would be suicide to allow customers access to the control panel. 90% of my contact with support has been with regards control panel failings since I signed up so now only use the account for my own development needs and I have purchased another win reseller account from another supplier which, whilst technically poorer, does have a control panel that works.
