Their customer service is terrible. I give people credit who work a customer service position, I understand it is thankless, but at least do the best job you can. Response time is terrible, if there is a response at all, and the response is typically not very helpful. At one point, their UPS went down and they LOST my website. Luckily my webmaster had the files, so he could get it back up. They gave me 3 months free hosting for that. Wow.
I was inquiring how to get my billed paid automatically every month. They kept telling me to select "subscription" from the page I was on. There was no "subscription" on the page. So I took a screen shot, sent to them and said "do you see "subscription" anywhere?" and got NO response. Now my domain had expired, and I paid the bill. Amazingly, 7 and a half hours later, my site is STILL not up. I renewed for 3 years. Why? Because I don't want to go through the hassle of moving all my files over to a new host, plain and simple. I'll just deal with avahost's sub-standard customer service and lack of "help".
