😠 Miserable Service
I have been with X7Hosting since they acquired me by purchasing my previous provider. X7Hosting has never been a particularly stellar provider but have been adequate (albeit expensive) for my needs. Recently I have seen marked decrease in access to customer service. A few days ago ALL of my email accounts went down, logging into the email manager showed NO ACCOUNT DATA existed. There was no person to respond to the telephone customer service number (the given reason was Covid) and no one responded to the online customer service assistant for over 10 minutes (at which point I gave up). Eventually the email accounts reappeared, however it was very disconcerting to deal with the prospect that everything was lost.
Today I found that the login to the management portal had changed and the built-in FTP engine no longer existed to manage the website files. However, I am most upset with the real inability to contact ANYONE at X7Hosting when a problem arises. I am ready to move [read more...]

😠 worst customer support and terrible engineers
Any time I have found a bug and submitted a ticket they immediately close. I have to fight with them for months to get them to actually fix anything, even after I show them while on a concall that the bug is real. They have their own mail front end, and they tried to be similar to yahoo mail in some ways but just do not get how to implement software and there support is the worst of any company in any field that I have had to deal with.
I tried to move my domain to network solutions but they could not get my server up and running. They were bad but not as bad as x7 hosting. If they could have figured out how to get my server going I would have switched.

Web Host C I Host Sells Shared Hosting to X7 - Web hosting provider C I Host (www.cihost.com) announced on Tuesday it has sold its shared web hosting business to X7 Hosting (www.x7hosting.com), a web services provider operated by Hostopia (www.hostopia.com).
Just less than a year ago, Hostopia itself was acquired by Deluxe Corporation for about $124 million Canadian.

😠 X7 Hosting Will Take Your Money
Beware… even after you cancel service with horribly run company, they will charge your account. So be sure to check it regularly. They send you fake renewal bills seeking your new account information and threaten to cut off your hosting services. Ignore the emails. Don't give them anything. They are thieves!

We had trouble for years with everything from guestbook not working to inability to retrieve email. Opened ticket, chatted, emailed, called, they always said problems were with us and never solved anything. Prices way out of line for today's hosting. Migrated our site to Amazon, notified we no longer were using their services. Billed us anway. Fortunatedly, I had changed my credit card. Called them, emailed 3 times, still attempted to bill until the 10 days were up. If I hadn't changed my credit card, I doubt I would have ever recoved the fraudulant hosting charge.

😞 My two sites were involuntary transferred from CI Host to them. One transfer went without problems, while the other was never completed. I lost a month of business and I had very hard time getting the refund as I prepaid for a year. I moved my other site to new provider and have been asking them for more than month to cancel my service but they are giving me a runaround ('send mail to cancel@x7hosting.com - I sent many messages never got an answer).
They keep sending me a bills even I stopped using the service.
If they got setup right, hosting is not to bad. I moved my to different provieder because they tried to charge me $180 for service charged $60 by others. I do not recommend them or CI Host (I have a feeling that they are old bad CI Host in new cloths)

😠 My website was also migrated from CI Host. On Oct. 27 I received email from x7hosting saying I needed to change my name servers with my domain registrar immediately or my website would become unavailable. Then followed three pages of instructions (so much for a "seamless" migration). It was late, I was tired, I went to bed. The next morning, my web site was gone, and with it my forwarding address. Giving less than 24 hours' notice is obviously a hedge against lawsuits rather than a real attempt to correct some oversight on x7hosting's account. Since then, I have spent over seven hours on hold and still have not reached x7hosting tech support. Ten years' work, down the drain.

😠 What a joke my experience with X7 hosting services has been for my business. I went from the frying pan into the fire when my web site was involuntarily transferred from Ci Hosting to X7 Hosting. Oops, did I say transferred ... X7 Hosting still hasn't completed the transfer of my web site files after months of waiting and my Web site is still not working at X7 Hosting. As it turns out, the X7 hosting features are so useless for what I need, my web site configuration is not ever going to work on the X7 Hosting servers anyway I have since found out (when and if they ever do get around to completing their migration of hosting services from CI Hosting to X7 Hosting (Texas to Canda no less)
What will be next at X7 Hosting ... Will it become X8 Hosting or India7 Hosting with another migration of all of their web sites to some obsure place on the other side of the planet so they can blame their problems on rebalancing the magnetic poles of the earth? Then X7hosting took over cihost accounts and the disaster began.
I use NetObjects fusion for my website and was only able to upload intermittently. X7 could not solve the upload issue and said it was not their problem. I told them there was a problem with their servers and they didn't want to hear it.
I could not wait for X7 to solve their problems that they refused to acknowledge so I transferred to BlueHost and have had no problems to date. More proof that X7 is screwed up.
Stay away from X7 hosting. Their service stinks. Their control panel is rudementary. They don't have tutorials. Phone help is nonexistent.

Good techical support with good reponse time and the same applied for the billing.
The nightmare begun with the migration to X7Hosting ... Completly new package, new rules, new webtransfer limits etc etc ...
I had a lot of unlimited features with my old CIHost account (like bandwidth, mailboxes, ...). Everything is now limited but for the same price !!!
I'm fighting with X7Hosting for more than 2 months now ... Because I don't accept that they had reduce my package contents without my agreement and for the SAME price thant my fully featured CIHost account.
The only reply type I got so far was "Sorry, we cannot do unlimited webtransfer, unlimited mailboxes, ...).
They have increased the number of mailboxes/aliases from 50 (what a joke I had unlimited mailboxes) to 1000 ...
I'm waiting a answer (for more than 3 weeks) regarding the pricing, my MSSQL databases, ...

😠 Our website hosting was migrated from CI Host to X7 Hosting late March. At first, we thought things were OK, but then we discovered none of our updates made to our website were being posted...ironically they appeared to be from our network??? When I called to complain, I was told had to load another program (FireFox) and resend our updates. Ater doing this, our secure order form wouldn't work. It appeared to be working for the customers, but the orders never came through. When I called after the weekend passed and asked where our orders were, they said they would open a ticket. Later I called again, they said it was resolved, but still no orders. I complained they problem was not resolved and asked for a supervisor. I was told to wait for one person who may be able to help me. He said they were now sending the orders to an email that hadn't been used in years (and couldn't be accessed). 😠 I too was sold off to X7 (from CI Host). Pretty much same scenario as others have noted. Databases missing, parts of my website missing, and had very little notice before the move actually happened. Customer support over the phone was not very knowledgable. I was told that I could enable and use SSH. After doing so I couldn't find my files and was told that I could not access my site's files and edit them via SSH and VI. After doing a little more looking I found everything and was able to get some things fixed. I was told on numerous occasions that if it worked before the move it should work after. Not even close to my experience. I don't think I'll be staying, currently looking at BlueHost.

😠 CI Host sold my account and website to X7. Immediately my subdomains disappeared. After a week of conflicting claims from CI Host and X7 I received a repair ticket from X7 saying that everything had been fixed. I went to my website and the link that had disappeared was linked to the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum. I have since gotten a new account with Inmotion which cost less for two years of service than CI Host had charged me for one year and the control panel has lots of free features that CI Host charged for. Good riddance to CI Host and X7.

😠 My account got sold from CI host to X7 hosting. They lost my databases, the control panel got changed, the hosting support has no clue. CI host has no backup of the accounts they sold. Telephonic waits are long on tech support - I presume they are being hammered by technical disaster calls.
