Notice the previous reviews for Westhost. The earlier the review, the better the review. The later reviews including mine are all bad. There is a reason for this.
I started with WestHost in 2000. Yes 15 years ago. I have now moved all of my domains and my hosting account to another company after 15 years of doing business with Westhost. Constant and repetitive server issues leading to down time. Inconsistent and unhelpful customer service. A billing department that is unable/unwilling to handle changes promptly. None of these issues or problems were present before Westhost was purchased by the UK2Group in 2009. Prior to 2009 I actually referred at least 8 new clients to your company. I surely regret doing that now. Westhost has slowly devolved into a dead company walking over the past 5-7 years.

REASON: I HAVE PAID $50 FOR RESELLER PROMISSED TO MOVE THE DATA THE FROM OLD SERVER, LATER ON ASK MORE MONEY 1 AND HALF WEEK MY WEBSITE WAS DOWN, DAY AND NIGHT SPOKE TO THEIR TECH. DEPARTMENT. ABSOLUTELY RUBBISH SERVICE. TOOK MY MONEY ACCOUNT DEPARTMENT DONOT WANT TO REFUND MY MONEY, DONOT WANT TO TALK AND HELP TO RESOLVE THE ISSUE. AS PROOF PLEASE HAVE A LOOK ON THEIR CHAT HISTORY

email account delay sending emails for 24-36 hours periodically
when asked if there was a solution i was told the emails were delayed because another account was over taxing their servers
i was also told there was nothing they could do about it.
happens about 2-3 times a year

In a trend that is becoming increasingly common, according to UK-based web analytics firm Netcraft, all three sites responded to all of its requests made at 15-minute intervals from separate points on the globe.
A single, clear winner of the survey has been becoming increasingly hard to determine in the past few months. Eight hosting companies shared the top spot in Netcraft's November survey of the most reliable hosting company sites, each showing only one failed request throughout the month. In its December survey, Netcraft named New York Internet and WestHost (www.westhost.com) the most reliable hosting company sites for the month.

Currently waiting for their genius admins to "rebuild" the servers, after a 27 hour outage - no natural disaster, no terrorism, just failed without any redundant backups to switch to.
This is roughly the 20th time in the last 18 months, the last time had a 48 hour down period.
Not a clue about internet marketing, or they wouldn't operate this way. Just a bunch of incompetent geeks who like to run machines and charge people for them.
No concern about helping American small businesses, by simply doing their job and keeping their little machines running.
Waste of breath, and the most horrendous ugly experience ever.
I began hosting with West Host in 2006 when I left StartLogic because of poor quality and customer service. The first couple of years with West Host were really great. Customer service and the uptime were awesome. Then West Host sold out and started sliding downhill. The customer service was the first to go and at the end when I went to move all of my accounts to another provider it became a total scam. They did everything they could to impede moving my 17 accounts to another provider and when it came to transferring my domain names the would do things like renew them early and say I had to pay them before they would release it. TOTAL SCAM! West Host has become the lowest level of customer service provider and a total scam company. These are my opinions based upon actual incidents with West Host!
Another problem with WestHost is that even though their policy states that they are against Spamming they do nothing to stop mass emailings from going out from their servers and causing the legitimate clients to have their domains that are hosted on the same severs " Blacklisted " with SpamCop and other ISP's like AOL and Charter, Cox and a slew of others that refuse emails from innocent WestHost clients.

I realized this on a Friday afternoon. I used the online system to pay but my account remains disabled.
I contacted customer service and they indicated that the billing department will not be in until Monday morning adn that nothing can be done. My web sites will remain down all weekend.
I am pissed!
Westhost has poor customer service.
I was even a Business Pro customer and they still treated me bad.
