The worst hosting company ever
This guy who runs it out of his basement needs to get a job. A total jerk- I would not recommend this to anyone. There are plenty of cheap hosting companies...don't be fooled! My site is constantly down, and tech support answers emails in 2 weeks! Gimme a break! I think it's some ugly kid sitting in his parent's basement. He needs to take a shower!

I have been a customer of SiteFlip.com for over 10 years. I would say, they generally have decent uptime and decent price, but there are a few things that are causing me to find a different host.

1) I signed on for unlimited email storage. I used this storage with no problems for over 10 years. They upgraded their email service, deleting years of emails & explained to me that I had only a 10 MB limit on my emails & that it was my fault that the emails were deleted.

2) There was no previous communication about this, no warning.

3) the F-you attitude I received from their tech support and customer service was horrid, in the face of the devistating loss I received at their hands.

4) It should also be mentioned that they really do (now) have only a 10MB limit on email accounts. This is just plain silly in this day and age - I often receive many large emails, and to have email constantly bouncing due to an undersized account makes this hosting a bad choice.

Run, don't walk away from siteflip.com
First, their cheapest deal is great -- less than $12 a year, and I had little or no problem with up-time. But that's where the love ends. Their customer service/tech support is condescending and even sometimes mean. What does it tell you about a company who responds to a trouble ticket with quaint little terms like, 'You go into stupid mode.' I can get cheap web hosting anywhere, but choose to buy services from people who know how to treat a customer with professionalism and respect.

This is clearly some dude living out of his mother's basement. TOTALLY AGREE that the person behind it is VERY insulting and rarely knows what he is talking about. He tries to give "advice," but usually it's just condescending bullshit. He ought to comb the pizza crumbs out of his beard and get a real job.

Siteflip.com cheaters.Terrible hosting. I bought from them hosting for one year. They send me the access password to their cpanel. But didn't give nameservers. I google their nameservers and find this site. But nameservers given on this site don't lead to their site hosting. I ask them with several letters to give me the name of their nameservers to point out my domain name to my hosting but they where very harsh. And after a few letters they stopped to answer. So now I'm afraid after one year they'll charge me again for their "hosting" automatically from my credit card. Weird. Never buy from them anything. They are cheaters.

"All servers are up and are functioning correctly. Nothing is broken. There is nothing to fix. We cannot and will not do anything about your issue.

"If you choose not to accept the above, your only option is to cancel and find a new host."

Follow their own advice and find a new host!

I have never, ever had such horrible customer service from any company of any kind. I am fairly new at the whole "having my own website" thing. They sent me information about activating my site that I didn't understand. When I emailed questions, they refused to answer them and then just referred me to the previous email. When I got upset, they started insulting me.

Here is an example of just one of their emails:

definitely not customer oriented - to the point of being absolutely rude!
DO NOT RECOMMEND - there are too many good, cheaper alternatives out there.
I would not use Site Flip if it were free for life. Customer support (to the extent it can be called that) is outsourced and only via e-mail.

I responded to Site Flip customer service in regard to them sending out my username and password in an unsolicited email. Their response was that doing so was not a security issue and if I didn't like it I can cancel...and I did.

Cheap web hosting is a saturated market and if they think they can treat their customers like this and get away with it they are sadly mistaken.

I would not recommend to my worst friend because they have no customer service and if you do get a response it will be rude. I asked for a copy of a invoice because I did not recognize a charge and they cancelled my account.

I have used the FMH-3b plan for a couple of years. At first it seemed OK. When I encountered a problem I contacted technical support. Their support is rude and slow. There is no phone number anywhere – you have to wait for an email response which takes about 12-24 hours on average. When their email finally arrives their support is useless. This host is only for the total do-it-yourselfer. Don’t expect any help.

Their site is down often – much more frequently than they claim.

They are cheap, but you get what you pay for.

I am leaving to go to a host that offers a phone number and treats me like a person.
