This company is total crap!
Guys. Save yourself a hassle you do not need and stay far and away from this disaster company!

These guys can't keep their network off the ground. That's me putting it politely. Go somewhere else. ANYWHERE ELSE. But stay clear from these amateurs.

Our actual network uptime (99.95%) exceeds our guaranteed uptime (99.9%). This is reported not only by SevenL monitoring systems but also by external non-partisan monitoring agencies, including WebHostingStuff (http://www.webhostingstuff.com/uptime/SevenLNetworks.html).

Admittedly, we have been performing scheduled network upgrades and some security-related updates throughout 2011. Both of these are normal, necessary, and vital aspects of web hosting that ensures the long-term uptime and reliability of services for our customers.

If you take on an unmanaged server and are unable to maintain it, please contact us for assistance, or request that we manage the server for you. If it's unmanaged, the server is not monitored by us to see if it is up or in good health. Good solid hosting and knowledgable, helpful staff. Never had a problem.
SevenL's staff is quite knowledgeable, which has been of great benefit to us over the past year or so we've been with them.

Shortly after signing up we lost our primary server administrator and didn't know what to do about maintaining our server hosting. So we contacted 7L for suggestions about what to do. The sales support was very transparent and helpful and added an appropriate server management plan to our account.

Since then they have been managing our hosting we have never had any problems. Tickets are responded to promptly and professionally. We've also been able to save some money because we no longer need our own server administrator on staff.

We're very pleased with the service we have received.

We started working with SevenL thinking that finally we have found a good provider. For majority of the time that we've been with them, they have been OK. However, the most recent chain of events has driven me to write here because NO ONE FROM SEVEN-L has either bothered to return several voicemails (left with ZAK the cTO) and emails sent to Cassius, Support, Tickets raised - you name it. but they have not gotten back to us.

We spend a fairly large amount of money with them each month and had every intention of expanding our network with them, but our confidence in them has shaken to the core. Cassius, mate, if you are reading this, call me.
Please see your most recent invoice as your account has been taken offline due to a very large outstanding balance for the past 3 months, and it needs to be rectified immediately. We generally allow a maximum leniency of 1 month so it's urgent we get that cleared up please. We have attempted to contact you no less than 12 times already.

Previous review is too kind. Their technical support is non-existent, really. Phones do not get answered at all, mail does not get responded to 95% of the time, they don't even appear to check their own ticketing system. Getting any response is like pulling teeth. There is no communication with customers if things go down on their end. You just have to find out for yourself afterwards that there was a problem. They also suffer from an highy unusual amount of turnover in their technical staff. It's like a revolving door.
My name is Cassius Adams - I'm an Account Exec at SevenL. I was very surprised by this review and wanted to take the time to address it.

Saying our tech support is non-existing and that we don't respond to emails is unfair and simply not true. In my role, I receive a copy of every email addressed to both Sales and Support. It's a "check and balance" that we have in place so that I can be completely satisfied that customers are getting the attention they require. Frankly, I can't promote confidently if I feel the support on the back-end isn't up to par so I like to know the Techs are doing a good job... and they are! In addition I also get a copy of every single ticket submitted through our user control panel for the same reason. I personally know for a fact that our support reps do indeed address every email and ticket that is submitted because I have access to every ticket and can see the responses and conversations. SevenL has smart people working for them, however they are hard to get a-hold of, with seemingly no set hours of operation, i think they play golf half the time. They also tend to not answer their phones if you don't submit tickets via their interface, but it's hit or miss if you get someone to respond to it on the other end. If you do get someone they usually will help you right away. Cost of their services a tad high for dedicated. Their control panel has been under construction for a long time. Personally I had a few issues with them, a few spontaneous reboots of the server, 1 hard ware failure, once they lost all the data the VM completely, even their backup's were empty and for some reason every couple months i had to reboot my Freebsd server to prevent it from slowing to a crawl, some wierd filesystem issues i couldn't track down, and they didn't care to look into it, or even to boot into single user mode to fix filesystem errors.

First off, let me say that I'm happy to hear your comment that SevenL has smart people working for it. That's very kind of you to say.

There's three particular points that I want to address.

The mention of spontaneous reboots of the server. I've reviewed your account history and don't see you make any mention of spontaneous reboots of your VPS anywhere. I do know that there was one time that you experienced a problem with the VPS running slowly and our Tech staff requested that you run a command and report back, but we never did hear anything.

With regards to the hardware failure that caused the loss of your VM, we do apologize. As explained in the ticket, all raid drives on the VPS host server went completely blank and to this day we have no idea why, even after consulting a disaster recovery agency. [...]
