Services from RES was Power, Cooling and Internet service.
Time frame in the data center early 2007 - early 2009
Left due to political issues with in the company (my company, not RES).
Power and cooling was never an issue. RES was always doing maintenance on it UPS, chillers. Did not see this as a bad thing, it you don't maintain it, it breaks.
The Internet service was also very good. Had an issue after being in the data center for 7-8 months. After talking with support personnel, we had a second internet drop installed for a very small fee and never had another issue. We averaged 70-80M of bandwidth every month during peek hours of 7am - 9pm pst with nightly peeks of 225M.
Support/Help desk could have been better at times, 2nd and 3rd level support are very
good. On more than one issue, RES 2nd level showed me that the problem was with in my network and gave great advise as to how to remedy [read more...]
