I have been a customer of lowesthosting.com since 2004 and am very pleased with their product and prices, as well as their customer service. I am particularly happy with their new site builder templates which are very user friendly and powerful. I was very surprised and grateful for the customer care and support I received when I had to completely redo my webpage due to an obsolete software package issue. George went above and beyond to introduce me to what the site builder could do to make a much more impressive website than I previously had with the old software. I have recommended lowesthosting.com to many of my friends (and my family) who are looking for a cost-effective, easy way to create their own website. Thank you!
I have been with Lowest Hosting for many many years. They have kept their prices the same over the years, never raising them. That is great when you are a small business. Their customer support is great. They are easy to get ahold of and they work with you till your problem is solved. I am very very pleased with Lowest Hosting. I have 4 website hosted with them. I would not go anywhere else for hosting.
Do not believe the glowing 5 star reviews! They are fakes put up by shills.
When they first started out, LowestHosting offered a bare bones web hosting service at a comparatively low price. The tools they provided were clunky and crude, but you figured you got what you paid for. But their service has not kept up with advances in technology and various competitors offer better services at better prices.
But the worst part is their "customer service". If you ever do need to put in a ticket for a problem, their responses are rude and unprofessional. You waste days responding to their nasty emails claiming the problem is not their fault before they actually fix the problem they caused in the first place.
Steer clear of LowestHosting.com. There are far better and more reputable services out there.

Tim waited some time before ever contacting our support department due to his website appearing down. His web server was online the problem was his domain was suspended because Tim never updated his domain information which resulted in registry verification notifications being rejected and eventually his domain was suspended by the registry.

I was first introduced to LowestHosting.com about 3 years ago by a friend who was very happy with their services. When I first signed up, i was -- and still am -- quite a novice in the website world but with much assistance and encouragement from the team at LowestHosting.com, I was able to get my pages up and running. Recently, we purchased a new business with an active website on another hosting company. Lowesthosting.com provided fast and efficient service to move the entire website to their servers -- with virtually no down time. There were a couple of links that had become inactive on the old server and they fixed those as well. I couldn't be more pleased with the outstanding , courteous and prompt service and do not hesitate to recommend Lowesthosting.com.

I have been a LowestHosting.com customer for over 12 years. I have launched 4 of my own websites and 3 for other friends/family members.
LowestHosting.com has the most popular and up-to-date software packages ready for easy-installation, including ftp software (Filezilla, etc.), online content management systems (WordPress, Drupal, Joomla, etc.), e-commerce tools, site building tools, online stores, image editors, graphic tools, and so much more!
I have always had excellent service and response time. They quickly answer my questions/concerns and even respond with answers to questions that are beyond their scope, but not beyond their expertise. And, they don't charge me extra for their knowledge!
They have held their prices for the past 10 years! This is the reason they can continue to call themselves "LowestHosting.com"--because they are!!

For a dozen years now, every single issue (days, nights, weekends, holidays) has been resolved quickly. Equally important is personal treatment. I'm not good with any of this tech world and I'm not likely to get good. When I need help, I really need it fast and clear. My dependence on routine communication with many dozens of people and institutions grows daily. For me, a technical bump in the road is a kick in the head.
Lowesthosting gets it. They treat me kindly and with relentless willingness and skill. I rated COST a nine only because honesty dictates that I acknowledge that I can find less expensive service. But the fact is I would pay a lot more than they charge me to know I can absolutely rely on their support. And they NEVER talk down to me in spite of the fact that I really should be smarter about this stuff.
In 5 years I've had 2 problems with the website. Both times it was resolved within 24 hours. It is inconvenient to have to email the tech support, but the first response is within 2 hours, and we go back-and-forth until resolved. They walked my web designer through issues and made minor changes on the website directly to resolve the problem. Tech support seems to be available 24/7 and all American. Interface is not user-friendly for us non-nerds, but improving. Price can't be beat. They now have a website builder with templates that I am using. I have looked into alternatives like wordpress and godaddy but I am staying with Lowest Hosting.

Our non-profit arts organization relies on volunteers and we often don't have enough expertise to handle IT problems that arise. The lowesthosting.com support folks have been very kind once they understand that they need to dumb down their explanation or recommended fix, and have saved us from ourselves several times! We have been very happy with their responsiveness and helpfulness.
The only thing I have to say about Lowesthosting is: SPECTACULAR. George, their Technical Support Manager, took time out of his very busy schedule to walk me through some very technical steps in order to update my web site. He took the time to show me how to do it myself so that, at any time in the future, I can do it by myself! He was VERY patient and kind in his approach with me and, therefore, I have to give Lowest Hosting the highest mark and recommendation possible. Their prices are second to none either; you will not find a better 'bang for the buck'.
I have had LH for many years. They have a fairly poor up-time record and very bad email processing. They once cancelled my serviced because they failed to bill me with their crummy email system. Now they are blocking many of my customers emails. They have no phone support, so you go round and round with them in emails and they never seem to fix anything or pay much attention to questions asked. Avoid this host.

Lowest Hosting goes out of their way to help me. I am an up and coming web designer and occasionally have needed help. They have gone out of their way and I have been very satisfied with them and will recommend them to everyone.
LowestHosting.com solved a problem I had been struggling with for a while, namely wanting to move my site so that I could have the control and support I needed to build a WordPress site that truly serves my needs. Since neither my wife nor I is a techy, the process seemed a bit daunting but George offered to copy our existing site and set up a starter site for us, which he and his team did instantly, expertly and with virtually no down time. Affordable service and support which far exceeds expectations, a welcome change from our other experiences with the industry.
Martin definitely above and beyond delivering great customer service. He walked me through switching my domain from GoDaddy, then spent some extra time setting up our website. I was struggling with trying to get a new website up and running. The customer service rep at Lowest Hosting help went way beyond what I expected and actually helped me set up a website using the online builder and installed a PHP form for me. Once I was able to figure out how to navigate the website builder and PHP creator it was easy to customize my site.
I've been with lowesthosting.com for a few years and have had good service at a good price. I'm not very technical and their support staff (especially George Wiliams) has always been quick to help me out with tech stuff and when I needed a new shopping cart installed. I like the new control panel and although it took me a bit of time to get used to it has better features than the old one. The only downtime I had was during some fire they had in 2008, but I hear that it affected a lot of web hosts so it's not a big deal. A+++ and a big thank you to George for all his patience and help over the years.
My website was built with Frontpage which is becoming obsolete. Tech support recommended I use SiteBuilder which is FREE with subscription. I was nervous that my site would be down for weeks because the site is published on-line & changes are made while working on each page. My experience was to work on the pages off-line & then publish all at once.

I am so very pleased with the technical support from Paul J @ LowestHosting. My website was very old and the "contact me" links weren't working anymore. Paul emailed me not to worry about it, he would fix it. It really needed a makeover but I am a real novice at building a website. When I checked my website the next day to my delight there was a whole new updated website and I am easily able to edit it. It's definitely more modern and clean, a 100% improvement! We have a small business that we've kept with lowesthosting.com for a few years. I'll admit, we don't have high demands for our hosting company and our site is not high traffic, but I've read a lot of reviews about problems that we simply have not experienced. Maybe we just haven't noticed? Lowesthosting.com has always given us quick, thorough customer support, and they've always gone above and beyond for us whenever we've encountered problems we can't solve on our own. We like the price, and we've never had a reason or seen a need to change provider.
Our only real criticism is I think the interface could be updated to have a bit cleaner, more intuitive look. Other than that, I'd be nitpicking. We've been very happy with where we are.
I've been with LowestHosting for about 10 years, and my relationship with them has been positive in all respects. Their team of technical people are experienced, knowledgeable, and extremely helpful. Recently I needed to do a difficult mod_rewrite redirect on one of my web pages. I wrote to the technical people at LowestHosting to find out whether this module was installed on my server. They replied right away, as they always do, and told me they would install it. They did so. My site HAD multiple security features with many file sin httpdocs and httpsdocs directories and numerous subdirectories.
Lowesthosting "upgraded" their servers and moved my files around to directories they wanted. I have numerous perl scripts to control access to secure area and now nothing works. You cannot log on because they have screwed up all the relative paths that were part of the functionality. This site was funtioning flawlessly (almost) since 2003? It included purchase and payments through paypal.
Nothing works and they are playing stupid.
They have turned into a horrible hosting company.

Their servers are very outdated with their backend software. This leads to all sorts of problems when needing to update for security reasons your website.
Their tech support is fast in responding and quite helpful however up until the problems in June (not their fault) Tech support and LH refused to speak with clients and would only communicate via email. This was the second reason i decided to flee from them.
Servers are often bogged down, non responsive and email has many problems.
Most of my sites are now migrated and the balance will soon be moved as well.
If they do go belly up, what happens to our domains and files? I am doubtful there would be an orderly and quick shutdown with a mechanism in place for rapid transfer of all domains to the new host of our choice.
If there is anybody from lowesthosting.com reading this, please take immediate action to reassure me and the rest of you subscribers.

I get this message from billing, then lowesthosting goes out again!! No transfer code, all email down - no way to contact besides the answering machine - no call backs.

Unfortunately, they are mistaken as my sites are not yet available. I also suggested they pay for a domain to be hosted in another DC, possibly lowesthostinginfo.com, or something like that, since had they had that tool available, they could have posted information throughout this ordeal and, if they were savvy enough to copy the email database to the other site, they could have emailed all of us. But, what do I know.

Ok Rant over.. Going to look for a new hosting company so I can switch it over when ever LH gets us back up...
This evening at 4:55pm CDT in our H1 data center, electrical gear shorted, creating an explosion and fire that knocked down three walls surrounding our electrical equipment room. Thankfully, no one was injured. In addition, no customer servers were damaged or lost.
We have just been allowed into the building to physically inspect the damage. Early indications are that the short was in a high-volume wire conduit. We were not allowed to activate our backup generator plan based on instructions from the fire department.
This is a significant outage, impacting approximately 9,000 servers and 7,500 customers. All members of our support team are in, and all vendors who supply us with data center equipment are on site. Our initial assessment, although early, points to being able to have some service restored by mid-afternoon on Sunday. Rest assured we are working around the clock.

There was a major power outage in one of the data centers where we maintain many of our servers in this case the H1 data center in houston. Although we own our servers and have our own datacenter staff we lease access in the datacenter to supply our access poin to the internet backbones (level 3, savis etc) and to provide us with power for our server racks.
The Datacenter has N+1 redundancy and does have UPS battery backup and Backup generator capability but a completely unusual occurance happened where the main Stepdown power transformer shorted resulting in an explostion and small fire in the electrical interface room. I have tried email, the telephone number answered by the FAX, and left a message in ther general voice mailbox.
As a longtime customer, I would sure like to know what has happened, why it happened, and what they will do to prevent future and similar problems. Although i have not given up on them at this point, I am concerned that an incident like this will cause enought customers to flee to other hosting companies, causing a significant reduction in cash flow, and making the problem even worse, up to and including bankruptcy.

The 3 sites that I had hosted with them are now totally down -- DEAD. No HTTP, no FTP, no E-MAIL. No Customer Support. Zilch. Nada. Zero.
The only phone number listed for them in Oregon is being answered by a fax machine. I have sent two faxes and have yet to hear back from anyone regarding the outage.
In the 4 years that I've had Lowesthosting as web host service provider, I have NEVER encountered this level of trouble. Their CSRs were always able to help me with problems and resolution was very fast. But, something like this will quickly turn all that sour.
