Worst customer support.
Guys, do not buy their service !!
I was over 4 years with them. Over that period I have had lots of problems and they never ever were guilty !!!
I lost all my emails from all mailboxes. They couldn't back it up. I lost money.
Every day, from a year, I have had a problems to connect to all my emailboxes. The connections were refused. Every time I have had to connect using complicated panel to their service to unblock my home IP address !!!!!!
And now, from 5 days the service does not work at all. All my websites disapeared !!! I just paid for upgrade to Elite plan, and they took money from my account and the service hasn't been upgraded.
Customer service doesn't reply from 5 days on livechat and emails.

I've been with Hostso for a few months. Having timeouts 3 and 4 times a day and now my site has been down for 2 days. I'm losing users from my forum so i'm providing a new hosting somewhere else.
It's cheap? For the service provided i would say it's still too expensive
I'm happy with their service. only and the big problem with this company is about their customer service, no answer when you need them. Hosting is done for about 10 hours. emails are not going and coming in... 24/7 live chat dose not work!!!!
If you are going to put a personal website on their server and dont you mind facing this problems, they are good. but if your business goes down for a day, no communication, please find a more reliable company, this is what i'm doing now.
I have been a developer for over 20 years and have utilized dozens of hosting companies for various projects over the years. I have never experienced the lack of professionalism, dishonesty and complete failure on so many levels as what I have experienced with HostSo in less than a month. I realize their hosting is cheap and I understand you get what you pay for, however, I didn't need much disk space or bandwidth so I signed up for HostSo along with 14 other low cost hosting companies. HostSo is by far the worst of the bunch. The server my data was on has now been down for over 2 days. Tech support (via chat) appears to be routed to some far away land where nobody has a clue until you pressure them, then the standard response is that service will be restored within a few hours. There has been no communication at all by HostSo, no e-mail of apologies, no refunds or credits, nothing. Unethical, extremely poor communication and dishonest.

For the past 48 hours the server where my hosting is done is down. The HOSTSO people are telling that there is some problem with the server and the details are getting restored. I have no idea when their server will be okay.
Though the cost of hosting is cheap I think that of late HOSTSO is not reliable
This host is very insecured! The hackers take control of my website and damage my databases and websites because very low security control by hostso.com Need to change server and lost my money.
been with hosto for over 12 mnths and all i can say is that their claim of 99.9% is way way over exaggerated, my website has been down at least 4 times per week and thats the times i have noticed i dread to think about the times i havent checked, my website attendance has dropped by at least 60% since i have been with them, everytime i have complained they say that their 'experts' are dealing with a server issue "We are sorry for this " or "Our admins are trying there best to fix this issue" , just today i had same messages and to add insult to inury they tell me "It may take next 5 to 6 hours to complete the process" then wheni asked if this was a planned outage and if so why was i not informed, their reply is silence, or the usual " In future you will not face any problem"

Their technical guys can be a little slow and difficult, but all the issues I have ever had have been addressed in an acceptable time frame and successfully. I have just upgraded to the Achieve plan as I wanted to host 5 domains.... for $33 per year, it is a very cheap deal.
Not sure about the unlimited bandwidth and 600GB of space, I think they would probably have a heart attack if you tried to make use of those allowances!!

With an experience of 7 provider I say: Stay away from HostSo.
Is perfect only for hosting one html webpage, but wen you have a normal php script that uses database is impossible to continue.
Now in the second year, everyday (and i mean every day in Feb 2011) i have to contact them about failing services, emails just do not work, send or receive - cpanel crashes all the time - when they "Reset the servers" - it is painfully slow.
I have now moved to a better solution, offering 99.9% uptime - hostso.com really offer 70% uptime, with lots of problems.

They ban for active FTP usage, ever in 1 stream. They ban for email usage. Just can't use them, they are fraudsters.
NO REFUND after 3 months of "usage".
Having sorted that one out and got them to promise to notifiy me if there was a problem again, exactly the same thing happened 2 weeks later.
Their mail server is a joke, and their IP gets banned more often than not for spam. Server response time is sluggish to say the least, and I can't trust these goons to reliably host my client's businesses.
They have cost me time, money, and reputation. I want to 'destroy all their crops and kill all their animals'.
The tech support people are not able to resolve any issue.
A way must be found to stop this company.
This people are aware of this and has not done anything for last 1 week. Loosing reputation with our clients due to their ridiculously pathetic services.
6 Months now the webservices are incredibly slow.
the ftp server most of the times doesn't work and when it work it's very very slow.
The supports ? They always negate the evidence, and if you insist they answer "Please wait 3/4 hours and we will solve the problem".

they are imcompetent and i was having the elite plan on their servers , also their support is moving very slow .. i wait for them to reply on livechat usually between 10 and 20 mins , and on support tickets for around 2 hrs
Any way they are fraud. Denied everything wrong with their server, taking people money for free. No address to trace them.
You are being so unreasonable for the following reasons:
You suspended my website several times even when there was no complaint about spam, down-time: 7+ times.
The number of afflictions you caused me: 15 times.
You ran false Advertisements, high-reliability etc.: 365 days
You make a living off your customers: 365 days
(that's stealing, taking people money without giving full product)
You make a living off people's little complaint: $0
You downgrade customer's speed: 5 times.
Your FTP connection problems: 36 times.
You denied having no problem: 36 times.
You revenged because you wanted more moneys: 1 time
(I cannot upgrade for a number of reasons)
It is unbalanced, you failed to enforce "Customer's Satisfaction" you advertised.

I have been with them for over 3-6 months now, and the level of support you receive from them is beyond belief. A problem could take days of email exchange and still no joy! They can be rude too, and ask you not to contact them again.
File transfers are very slow using FTP Clients, and many times your website may take as many as 3 minutes before it load up in a browser.
I was fool to pay 2 years in advance. what a bad idea! Despite that, I am thinking of finding another good provider and assume the money I paid to HostSo was as if I had been mugged on the street!
Spend a little more and have piece of mind!!!

I have used them for about a year now and I know what they do quite well!
First of all
- In one of their package it gives 10 sql databases, However in reality they will give ONLY 2 sql databases!!! It's their method to cheat on n00b Customers.
- Live Support is completely RETARDED.

I've just created my account now. I've tried to upload joomla files in my newly created account and ftp upload always stop half way. I've contacted their support twice. It always give me same answer "Pls try again" and yet tried again and again it works for few minutes then it stop again. Finally my last conversation with their support it answer me very RUDE when I ask what exactly the issue. For guys planning or looking for host don't even dare to try you will regret the day you've sign up to their cheap host plus cheap services.. Poorly maintained!
Its so nasty even customer service are rude 50% of the time sometimes they feel good and they help.

It seem stored procedure are far to advanced for them.
I had a permissions problem when call any stored procedure, 5 emails from there support saying fixed... Fixed my bum:-
3x times they had do nothing that I could see
1x they just gone back to any earlier version with the wrong call on it
1x (this is the best) they said we have fixed the problem please check, what they had do was amend my script by removing the error trap and error message that way no error message showed up....
Tech support you can get more support from a bunch of monkey's.

I have to say I am mightily impressed right now. New account email sent within seconds of payment (they accept Paypal too, which I liked). It had all of the settings contained. I got right on through FTP (I use ws-ftp) and uploaded a sample page. Using the supplied IP address, it worked instantly, so I uploaded the rest of the site.
The c-panel is great, and I used it to create and populate the database. After changing the connection settings on my site, I had one issue, which I debugged to uncover the user I was using didn't have access to the DB - doh! Schoolboy error. Corrected it, and everything is working perfectly.

The support team were very helpful but couldn't restore my backup. In the end, I did it myself.
The problem I found was their servers are over subscribed and under resourced. Over the first 2-3 days you could hardly ever connect to the website, Wordpress admin or the control panel. The email takes ages to interrogate the server and usually times out.
For the techies amongst you, Linux server load should be less than 1.00 for 1 CPU. Hostso's King server boasts 4 CPUs so the server load should be less than 4.00 however it runs at at least 5.5 on average and I even saw it running at 69.20!
It's been less than a week and I've asked them for a domain transfer code. There's not much point in me having a site there when the only visible evidence of it is the invoice!
Conclusion: Nice support people, service absolute rubbish.
Site is very slow, but hey, you get what you paied for... I personally payed for loosing about 2 months of work and 4000 users data as they are not providing me with a backup after they deleted my whole site... AVOID!!!
Also sometimes the databases are dissapeared. I needed to contact the support, which was all the time with the name of Mark. Which is strange. Anyhow it was all fixed, but having a database dissapear suddenly is not healthy.
So what is lost: two sites with about 100$ revenue each day, very valuable databases with user datas, 300 mb of self produced web site and PHP script. NO BACKUP PROVIDED!!!

I had a small issue when my IP address was blocked for some bad logins (my mistakes) and I had to use their support to get it sorted. The free phone number didn't work and neither did the online chat facility, however, I did get pretty good response using email.

When I was having trouble getting their SSH login to work, I contacted their "Live Help" department. The technician was extremely curt and rude, first giving me an alternate port number, then telling me that SSH wasn't covered under my plan, then telling me I had to open a ticket for support and upload a scan of my driver's license. If this had been in the TOS, AUP or on their knowledge base I would've known before signing up - as it was I wasted over an hour on their "Live Chat" - mostly waiting for one word responses to my lengthy questions.
The only positive is that they responded to my refund request within a few minutes - I haven't received it yet but it hasn't even been a day since I signed up.

If you want cheap, affordable & reliable hosting, I would recommend Hostso. Their customer service is excellent. I had some Technical Issues with email setting at the begining and they responded and solved my problems. TQ.

i just bought a hosting plan from them and ther server wouldnt let me make any database because there server were overloaded.
i contacted there techni.. and they said its not there problem i just have to wait....
they cuted me off and never answered me back and i asked for money back and they said i cant get it back and they wont answer me no more.
I hope that they will return my money back. i don't know, either they want to paid me or not.. it's just hope.
