😞 They were inexpensive and good. Now they are no longer competitively priced and are pretty awful.
Have been with them since 2008 - they were very good back then.
Unfortunately, they've were acquired by EIG some years ago, and they've become increasingly expensive since then while reducing the services.
Shared SSL - no longer available, even though their knowledge articles still describe how to use it - need SSL, you have to buy it now.
Oh... you need SSL ? Sorry, you need a dedicated IP for that now... yup, have to pay for that separately too now.
Need to send bulk emails occasionally ? Used to be no problem, we'd go for weeks at a time and then need to send a few hundred out ... now you can only send 500 in a given hour - unless you pay more of course.
Need to monitor background processes you have running (cronjobs or such)... used to be no probem... now they removed Process Manager from the cpanel... Oh, you need to be able to monitor those processes - [read more...]

😁 Fastdomain is a great host. There has been only one time in the last two years when I couldn't access my cPanel (my website was still up though). Unfortunately, Fastdomain doesn't have ASP.NET but supports PHP, SQL, etc. Sometimes it is a little slow, but at other times very fast. All in all, Fastdomain is a great service when you compare the features to the price and to other hosts. Way to go FD!

😠 They change things on the server without information to the customer.
Each time you see they changed something because you have problem or your website doesn't work anymore.
For example, today they changed the home directory of my account without information. Home ist not more /home but /home1 now. I had to change a lot of bash scripts.
They don't care about customer.
