If I could rate this company as 0 I would! Dot canada transferred our domain (without my knowledge or consent) now I am unable to upload files to our company website. Called and emailed for support. Waited on the phone for 72 minutes only to be disconnected after getting to number 2 position. No emails or calls back. The live chat doesn't respond. Now I have to wait 60 days to change hosting as CIRA won't allow it since it has been transferred recently. No unlock or EPP code for the .com domain either. No doubt will be another gong show when I go to switch providers. Dot Canada (and dotwebnames) should not be allowed to host sites, especially business sites!

Thois company shutdown my account repeatedly over a 5 year period. They avareaged about 6-9 months between each shutdown. When tech support was called in it took roughly 2 weeks each time to get my account back up and running. When I pulled my account out, they sent me a bill for the next two years and had me wait 90 minutes on the phone to rectify the problem. I will be calling Visa to block this purchase.
DO NOT HOST YOUR WEBPAGE ON DOTCANADA IF CUSTOMER SERVICE AND RELIABILITY IS IMPORTANT TO YOU.
Bottom line, I stuck with them and it has paid off and very pleased with most things.
On Oct. 24/09 I paid in full for renewal of my hosting and domain name.
On Dec. 1/09 these idiots shut down my website and e-mail.
I spent an entire week trying to get this resolved. Tried everything, live chat, e-mails, and several tickets. They just didn't bother to respond in any way. Even reported my dissatisfaction to Costco but have not heard from them yet.
This is a business and my suppliers and customers expect a certain level of professionalism from our company. Unfortunately this has now been irreversibly tarnished.
Seriously, find another hosing company to work with.

They started out great but "upgraded" and got rid of CPanel (and lost all my site and data) and now they are crap. Cust. service is awful. They NEVER answer the phone and emails take days to answer and they rarely give the right answer. You can't create sub domains. You can have 50 databases but can only manage three of them via the web management tool. You have to email them for the other 47. And that takes days. They don't have a good CMS. Overall, they are crap. Stay far, far away.
No downtime in over 3 years.
Way to go Dot Canada.
dotCanada then decided to fuck over all Costco members. They took away the real support desk for Costco users, and added a crappy phone service and an even more crappy e-mail support tool.
They also took away cPanel and added a control panel they made themselves. It was the shittiest thing I have ever used.
Now, I can get over those two. But they went too far when they took away sub-domains.
Now, I could go on, but it hurts too much to think about them.
Sticking your dick in an oven is more enjoyable than using their services.
All I want to say is... think twice before you go with these guys.
Avoid them at all cost. Believe me you will thank me you did.

When the crap hit the fan, they failed. Our site was hosted on a server in their system called Tupper. After we had been with them since October of 2004, in Feb 2006 they decided to move our site to another server within their network (called Bennet). The transition was a nightmare.
They lost all our staff Email (over 60 people), all our web site stats, and I had to chase them for WEEKS to get any effort out of them to correct the problem. Ultimately it was never fixed appropriately. We never got an apology. We never were offered anything in reparation for this massive mistake on their part.
In fact., I had to threaten them with filing complaints with provincial and federal business authorities before they even took any effort to respond to our problems. Never ever use these people - because when you need them, they won't be there.
