I started my hosting since July 2004. The service was running well. In 2008 my account was suspended, so I contacted ihsystem.com (the new owner of doorhost.net). The response is fast, they generated new invoice, and my service was restored 1 hour after I paid my bill.
Since I haven't really manage my website for sometime, I forgot many things, and some services stopped working. So I submitted a couple of tickets to ihsystem. (if you are doorhost user, you can use http://support.ihsystem.com/index.php?_m=tickets&_a=submit and select 'Doorhost Servers' to submit a ticket) The responses were pretty fast, normally within 6 hours. And they solved problems pretty fast. Seems like they are actively managing the servers.

I would have to agree with other reviewers that Doorhost must now qualify as the worst hosting company anywhere. I joined Doorhost years ago and got excellent service while it was in the hands of the previous owner, but that all changed when the new owners took over. One time they simply dumped a whole website, with no provision to renew. I lost all of my archival pictures and reconstructing the site from inadequate backup files was a nightmare. Communicating with them has always bordered on impossible and their helpdesk wizard, Saira, should learn English. There's been a lot of down time over the last 2-years and frustrating pleas for assistance to a deaf or dead helpdesk.
They crashed 3 websites I maintain in the first week of September 08. I finally got a nonsensical reply from Saira six weeks later on the 23rd of October. By then I had already moved my sites to another hosting company weeks before, even though I/we had fully paid up accounts with Doorhost.

Absolutely the worst. They will not answer any emails. Except when it's time to get paid. Then they're right on the ball and will do whatever they need to get paid. But if you have any problems, and you will, forget about them ever responding. I can't remember a worse service of any kind in my life. Avoid this awful awful company. Please, if you take one person's advice this year, let it be mine. This is the worst. AVOID.

The worst service ever. I kid you not, they will not return a single email of mine. I've had all kinds of problems, they will not return emails...but when it comes time to getting paid, boy they're on the ball. They want their money now. How this crappy service manages to stay in business is a complete mystery.

If I can just cause one person to not choose this terrible company than maybe it will be worth it a little. I want them to lose business. I want them to go under. You can't have a nonexistant "customer service" and then expect people to still want your crappy business.

Please, whatever you do, do not go to this company. They are the worst - far and away.

the company has no PHONE Contact after 4 years I found that the company does not care if your website is down in the last mounth 3 times it has ben down in the last year
it has be down at least 8 times for 3 days or more I told the them I was moving on they shut down the website down with in minuts of reciving the E-Mail but they will not fix any problems for three days or more MY ADViCE is stay away .
