😠 Domainnames.com.au is the worst Australian Business
HIGHLY RECOMMEND TO NOT USE THIS SERVICE.

Customer service is rude and has anger issues. Also explained that the only position above him is
the CEO and explained that he doesn't care about the service they offer.

They give a cheap first year and make you pay x5 for every year after that.

There are CHEAPER and BETTER options out there

the worst company I have ever dealt in my 63 years on this earth, they are rude, unhelpful and aggressive. All they care about is money, money, money. I cannot stress enough, do not use this company.

😠 AVOID- Worst company I've unfortunately dealt with
Wish I could give 0 stars. Received an email from their 'support' team advising my opinion was just an opinion and they weren't going to help me. They didn't answer my question, didn't provide support/ direction or respond to any of my concerns. They also refused to give me a refund when I hadn't used their service. Shouldn't be in business if they don't care what their customers think.

😠 Avoid doing business with them. No add card details!!!
The most dishonest and doggy business I have ever met. Firstly, they charged some items in my cart without my permission as they had my card details from previous transaction. No refund. The worst customer support, they don't understand IT at all. Finally, they openly refused to provide already paid services. They don't even reply to Fair Trading. Negligent business lucking integrity. Please avoid.

😠 How can they keep operating?
It blows me away that these guys can still operate a business, surely there has been enough complaints made (I have found them going back to 2012 on several other review sites) unfortunately didnt read those reviews before signing up
I cancelled my subscription with them and they are still charging me, and clearly their T&Cs are FALSE as they will not REFUND, they just ignore all correspondence

How these people are allowed to run a business just blows me away.The rudest,unprofessional people I’ve ever come across.try calling these people and you cannot speak to anyone it’s all done by emails or there automated system that should tell you something.
And don’t ask for refunds as you will not get one DO NOT USE THEM - they need to be stopped from operating a business - domainnames are run by scum bags

😠 So rude, don't touch
After very carefully choosing (and securing my domain name through another group) I get an email from this company saying :You deserve a better name than www.[mydomainname].com.au. How rude can you get??? My carefully researched and selected domain name suits my actual business perfectly and also aligns with my overall market presence, trademarked logos, registered business names and social media accounts. Where does this company get off suggesting (without even know me or my business) that "I deserve a better name" just because they have a generic one to sell (www.EventPhotographer.com.au). If they knew ANYTHING, they would know I am a TRAVEL photographer, NOT and EVENT photographer!!!!

DomainNames flooded me with reminder emails for renewal for a domain that's only due in 3 months, increasing the price with each email until $253 for hosting a single domain! You can't reach anybody on the phone - these people are profoundly unprofessional and obviously trying to rip their customers off. DO NOT USE THEM!!!

How these people are allowed to run a business is astonishing. They debited my credit card again 3 months after I disputed and retrieved the fee. In response they say I have to pay - but I cancelled my account with them months ago and am paying someone else. 😠 Rude, overcharging, obnoxious
After trying to sort out our non existent website for the past two months on renewal, after cutting off our email accounts before renewal was due and double charging us with no refunds and no ability to actually talk to anyone. There emails are rude, obnoxious and it is very difficult to get out of once you join up. They also charge you a reconnection fee even though it isn't your fault that the connection was lost. There prices have increased to over double in the last two years for not a single effort of better service. We don't even own a website just the domain. Will be transferring as soon as we can get out of the contract we are in. Recommend for noone to use.

Despite best efforts over several years and untold cost, no refunds for double billing etc, and rude abusive email interchanges as discussed above, we are still trying to escape the clutches of the Rafferty brothers (domainnames). They cancelled our website without reason or notice. A less professional and unhelpful rip-off company is impossible to imagine. Once in you are trapped. What is it with IT that attracts such unethical practice? Avoid this company at all costs.

😠 Domainnames is obnoxious and rude!
I was unaware of Domainnames reputation prior to using their service and got conned. I signed up to a domain and email service, but the hosting pages are not working, I request assistance and they reply with a generic instruction email that offered nothing to do with my request, after asking again, the feedback was this:

They make no time to help and their system is rubbish. Obviously a small business set up by some asshole who really doesnt care about their customers interests. Do not use this service!!

Warning to anyone who has been sucked in to this company or is thinking about registering with them. You can not speak to them on the phone and the only person that responds to the phone is the most arrogant and obnoxious pig who will just laugh at you and tell you nothing!!!. ADVICE...FIND ANOTHER DOMAIN MANAGER AND GET THEM TO TAKE OVER THE MANAGEMENT OF YOUR DOMAIN NAME

😠 The most disgraceful company and individuals I have ever come across. The most unhelpful rude and antagonising individuals. One employee rang my phone continuously and harassed me, then told me a 6 year old would know how to interact with the site. Stay clear, these guys are embarrassing.

😠 There needs to be something done. Hundreds of bad reviews yet this company is still trading. Google on Facebook the horror stories. More people the better. Bully tactics and holding companies ransom when sites are fully paid for, domain names and websites are important tools for any company so if your reading this do not use this company as you will regret it. Wish we had of looked a bit harder first but if we can help someone else from making the same mistake it's all worth while. If you know someone that has a story join in Facebook also.

😠 I have NEVER come across such an unhelpful, rude, condescending, arrogant company in my life. I have qualifications in accounting, I speak a foreign language fluently and I run a couple of small businesses. I wear many hats and I am proficient in many things but unfortunately web hosting and the jargon associated with it is not one of them. If you do not speak their speak, this mob will treat you as if you are a complete and utter idiot.

😠 What an absolute disgrace this company is. Their so called HELP / Service department are rude arrogant and harassed me over the weekend even though their opening hours are Mon - Fri 9-5. Then their complaints division manager Sasha took over and she was just as unprofessional. Read their policies as they can take away your domain name at the drop of a hat

😠 rudest customer service I have ever had to deal with.
This company is just way TOO much hard work.

I had an email forwarding issue. Firstly Domainnames.com.au were unable to investigate the cause of my suddne ceasation of receiving emails (depsite it having worked for years). Then one staff memberof Domainnames.com.au informed me that if I purchased one of their POP email accounts, I could have my email stored on that rather than forwarded. I therefore purchased an email POP account which supposedly which was reduced in price by 70%!!! , and yet not one staff member could assist me in linking this POP email account to the Domain hosting account I already held with them.They have no phone support, and the staff on the web-based support were rude and dismissive when I was trying seek assistance.

The "support" staff at domainnames are not only incredibly rude, they are incredibly fraudulent. They have charged my credit card for a domain name that wasn't even registered with them!

Now I have to go through small claims tribunal to sort it out.

😉 Their new interface is lumpy to say the least. Currently not supported by Firefox 4, IE 8 & 9, Chrome or Safari.

Their Certificates are bad or non-existent.

Their automated Tech Support is frustrating. However I came across a human technician and Jim was great.

Finally found contact details on the site.

They appear to no longer offer .au domains

😠 Mike James from customer support is so rude and arrogant! I am a first time user of domain names in general and didn't know the jargon. What could have been explained and resolved in 2 seconds, lead to the following conversation:
ME: Could you please contact my brother as he needs to discuss a matter with you in relation to our domain name?
MIKE: Whats the issue you are in need of help for?
ME: My brother purchased two domain names on the 16th december called "xxx.com and xxx.com.au".
Since we have found that xxx.com is taken by another company, we expected this to be in a parked status and not actually being used if we were able to purchase it. We also found that when we go to check availability of xxx.com.au it is in fact available, so we are a little confused as to what is happening with this.
My brother has paid for both these domains and was hoping to start up these websites, however both are not operational.
Could you please reimburse him for both domains as soon as [read more...]

😠 The support department at domainnames.com.au are the rudest most unhelpful customer service department I have ever come across.
I am transferring my name to another provider to host and will Never use or recommend these people! The emails I received from there people basically inferred I was an idiot!
You can't even complain to a person as no phone number anywhere on site! I have never come across such bad customer service !
