They deliver solid, reliable service at good price point. The plans are comprehensive and support is accessible.
We moved to them 6 months ago when our existing sharepoint hosting provider decided not to continue with shared hosting business.
We have been very pleased with the reliability and support we have received so far. They were patient in migrating our site from the previous provider. It took some iterations though.
When we needed to move recently fron basic sharepoint version to enterprise they were able to do that. It is nice to have full range of offering and options.

Welcome to another installment of our ongoing article series that focuses on web sites driven by SharePoint. Our aim is to show you who is using SharePoint and for what, and how good a job they are doing. We want to know if they are built right, and if they take advantage of SharePoint's capabilities.

I was with Apps4Rent for over a year using their email hosting services for Exchange 2010, smartphone sync, web client, and archiving. It is overpriced for what it is. Whenever I needed tech assistance the call center in India wasn't efficient or knowledgeable. There was a 4 day period when my email was down which hampered my business. Their bedside manner and customer care is downright awful. I'm glad to have left and now have a much better email host provider with U.S. call centers.
Very pleased with reliable hosted exchange service and support that I have received over the years.
We have used their exchange and email services since 2008.
Their chat service is very useful in getting support. Good prices are added bonus.
Reliable service with helpful technical support. We have been using exchange for over 4 years and recently added Virtual Desktop.
We often have many part time consultants working for us depending on the time of the year. We don't have any internal IT department. We find that their support is able handle our requests quickly when a new set-up is required.
Cost efficient solution for small businesses.
I am a SharePoint consultant. I teach SharePoint classes and have used them and recommended them to my students and corporate clients for the last 3 years for SharePoint. Overall very happy with reliability and easily reachable support. Reasonable prices as well various versions of SharePOint.
The access to the server is pretty limited, cannot even enable / disable complex password policies. Cannot even backup or restore the server.
Cannot apply any ms updates, otherwise server will crash.
If the server crashes for whatever reason apps4rent charge high fees to fix.
Our server blue screened for no apparent reason and then we could not gain access to it via rdp. Tech support will not fix unless we pay, they will not even restore from backup unless we pay.
They are obviously cheap for a reason, its so that they can hit you
Its a complete rip off and it appears to us that they have sabotaged our server on purpose so that they can charge us to fix it.
They have done a commendable job over the last few years in moving us to the cloud.
We started with them on SharePoint then added exchange.
Recently, we moved all our 6 employees on virtual desktop. Their service is reliable and support is very helpful. They help us configure our printers and various remote access clients very patiently.

Use their exchange and virtual desktop product. Support has been responsive and on the ball during most of my interactions. Other than maintenance no downtime's so far
if you all need a professional service apps4rent is NOT the one for you. The services provided by them run of one data centre and never had any disaster recovery plans.
Never trust them! the 30 days money back is just on the server and not for the connectivity to the server or unavailability access to the server.
It is just a blame game..

I've been a customer of Apps4Rent for a few years, and until now had nothing much to complain about. Their website claims to have "multiple reliable data centers.. with 99.99% uptime." Except, Hurricane Sandy just revealed that that was all a lie. They have been offline for nearly 80 hours now, their "live support" (contracted call center in India) has no idea on ETA on fixing. The hurricane isn't their fault. Claiming to have multiple reliable data centers, when really they don't, has permanently damaged my business, and IS THEIR FAULT. I have lost business in the several thousands of dollars due to my not being available to confirm via email new work that was then re-assigned to another contractor. No customer support. No communication. Deceitful advertising that puts my critical business communications at risk? Shame on Apps4Rent, I hope they go out of business. Maybe a class-action lawsuit would hurry up that process a bit.
I am an Apps4Rent Exchange hosting customer. I strongly recommend against using this service. I will be taking my service elsewhere as soon as their servers come back up and I can backup my data.
Exchange has been down for 2 business days now. I know that you can’t control the weather (storm took out their power), but there are well accepted Disaster Recovery strategies in the industry that would prevent this length of downtime (like failover servers that are geographically separated).
I notice that their sales web server seems to be using these DR strategies as it is still running without interruption from the storm.
I have been a customer for more than 2 years now. They are very good and consistent. No outages. At times, I have contacted support and they are very quick and accurate. I was not sure about reliability or security when I jumped the 'cloud wagon'....but Apps4Rent has removed all doubts for reliability and security. Very consistent across.

Been with them for over 2 years for sharepoint hosting. Knowledgeable support and value prices. I appreciate that they migrated my site from old version to new version without any downtime and issues.
We can't get to the website. They are hosting the domain but you only get to a blank white page when entering our URL. Support can't figure it out. They say hold on for a couple of minutes and might come back 20-30 minutes later. Then they say it's fixed and we need to wait 12 hours for propagation, but half a day later nothing has changed!
They have horribly inefficient support. Wiating time is ridiculous and they don't have any debugging tools - even screen share.
We have used their SharePoint foundation and SharePoint EnterPrise solutions for about two years. Great value in their offering. Service is very reliable.

Great support! Have been hosting exchange with them for 3 years. We accidentally deleted one mailbox they got it back in an hour of submitting the request! Also, added SharePoint Enterprise with them. One of the few offering SharePoint Enterprise on a shared platform. Can't beat the price and reliability of service.
These idiots terminated by e-mail account for non-payment even though I was on auto-pay. They were sending me notices that there was a problem to an e-mail address that does not exist, so I was totally unaware that there was a problem until they shut down my e-mail account. Yes, you heard that right! They did not send me notices to my e-mail address, which I am paying them for! It’s not like they “did not have my e-mail address!”. WTF! Freak’n Losers! As a result of their incompetency I lost all of my e-mails, history, my entire address book, etc. Everything! Then they had the “balls” to ask me for a $50 fee to reinstall my data from their backup server. Give them a call sometime. They are huddled up in a little room somewhere in India and you can actually hear rotary phones (yes, “rotary phones) ringing in the background. This makes understanding their poor English all the more difficult! Good luck with these guys . . . . . .
What a service....They are one of the best out there when it comes down to support and service. i hvae been using exchange 2010 with outlook on pc and my droid x and have not had any issue....support guys are good and very polite. they helped me configure my initial outlook without a fuss. My IT friend is suggesting desktop on the internet....Apps4Rent calls is hosted desktop; I might try it. My Outlook and exchange on apps4rent server might be another wonderful experience.

I would highly recommend their SharePoint Hosting. I have been SharePoint user and admin for over 6 years. They have one of the most knowledgeable SharePoint support team.
I last updated my SharePoint site on Thursday 6/23 and when I went into my site on Sunday 6/26 all the data was a month old. When I contacted Apps4Rent they gave me every possible reason how this couldn't happen. I do not have full access to manage my site at the server level, but somehow they won't take responsibility. They tell me to give them time to check into it and in the meantime my data is lost, and I am loosing business. They will not return my calls nor take responsibility for what has happened and I am am an extremely unhappy customer. They are nice people on the phone, but nice doesn't get me business nor by data back. Does anyone recommend any other hosting companies?
I have been with them for 2 years on Exchange 2007. I moved over to Exchange 2010 recently in a planned and phased manner. Support was helpful in moving me from the 2007 to the Exchange 2010 platform..no major changes from my side was needed except for setting up Outlook for users.
For me....I am getting service and support which is worth every cent I pay them.

When I saw sharepoint I realized how Microsoft is changing the world. Sharepoint is very good and is a recommendation for everyone...better with apps4rent.
The offerring and such a good price and services are all value for money...I am planning to also move to hosted exchange they with my 5 mailboxes....maybe by thanksgiving I will do that.
Biggest thing, they lost one of my sites, yes, lost it. It disappeared. I didn't use it for a month and when I noticed, it was too late to even recover from backup.
I teach SharePoint development and administration and used to recommend Apps4Rent to my students. No more.
They have simple and great support method....fix the issue no matter what it takes. At times, I am amazed how quickly they respond with simple steps which I can follow.
Support was very helpful and great. I observed some thing which i havent seen in may companies about the knowledgebase they have. They have added many articles over these years. I cant comment on voice support as I have taken support on chat and e-mail and they are quick and great.
The support is technically oriented and hence the resolutions are quick and swift. I am planning to go for reseller service and sell my SharePoint skills via the offerring they have.

DO NOT GO WITH THIS PROVIDER:
1. We have had over 100 emails bounce back (both sending and receiving) and we have repeatedly forwarded the bounce back emails to apps4rent who claim to 'fix the issue' yet we still receive bounce back emails constantly - there email system is not functional.
2. They have billed us incorrectly and are refusing to correct their error claiming that the 'system is fully automated so cannot make a mistake' however their 'automated system' 'forgot' to bill us for 5 months and then sent 5 identical invoices through which were for the current month's usaage (the number of exchange accounts had gone from 12 to 30 over the 5 months) but they have billed us for 30 [read more...]
Do you offer any other Microsoft products that are not listed on your website? For example, I’m looking for Microsoft Project. It is pretty expensive to buy outright, but it would be something that I would consider “renting” as a SaaS.
