Here's what happened. Aabaco Small Business (owned by Yahoo!) and I had a dispute over whether I had given them sufficient notice of closing my account. The trouble was that after I moved my business elsewhere they continued to bill me the exact same amount, which I didn't notice on my credit card statements.
I eventually reviewed the file and became aware of the problem because their accounting system generated an email to me when my credit card number changed and their next charge was rejected.
Up to that point I didn't notice their withdrawals because they stopped sending me their customary notices of upcoming charges.
They refused to communicate about the issue by email, which sucks. Dealing with them by phone was frustrating. Each call started with approximately a quarter hour of waiting on hold while they 'verified' my identity. They insisted they could record the conversation but that I was not allowed to tape record it.

Easy to navigate and use. I was not put on hold and not a lot of time was taken, because the person on the other end knew his job. Thank you for fast and painless service.

They are currently a Yahoo business, but will become a part of Aabaco Holdings, Inc. ("Aabaco Holdings") when it is spun off from Yahoo.
They think Luminate (previous domain name) is a great name, but they think it’s an even better idea to have a name that’s better aligned with thyr soon-to-be parent company, Aabaco Holdings.

I have spent hours on the phone with people I can barely understand. They seem to have a script of excuses to get you to end the call/complaint..."I am sad you have a problem, the system is down now, try again later (2 hours, 24 hours, a month!), we will check on this & get back to you."

Yahoo dumps the domain accounts section and informs customers that they've given the accounts to Aabaco.
Great! We've been with Yahoo since 1998-1999; mostly happy with only a few small glitches.
Tried to transfer the key administration ID over to Aabaco. Page one of their transfer process we hit a snag. Aabaco demands a mobile phone number for security verification.
Oops; we don't have a cell phone. Our land line doesn't do texts. No allowance to proceed using only a land phone line.
Call Aabaco, somewhere deep in the India continent. The wait isn't too bad this time; after the normal problems of conversing through their versions of English language and a significant amount of tedious time reaching the problem.
I state the problem, "no cell phone!"; I get their answer, use a friend's or relative's cell phone number. For security!? I should use someone else's phone? Want me to give them my credit cards too?? Plus all of my web security [read more...]
Well, considering they are racking up tons of REALLY poor reviews, I guess they should know pretty well how to deal with them.
This service is TERRIBLE. Pretty much nothing works, and the customer service is poor-to-non-existent.
Even when they try to 'fix' a problem, and send a link for downloading, the links they send don't work.
Pull your heads out, Aabaco and start getting it right. You've already lost this person's faith and I'll be shopping other hosting companies.
Thanks for the THREE HOURS on hold on the phone that you never answered on your 'help line' as well as the links you sent to fix my issues that sent me to error pages, and really, thanks for the approximately $2000 to $6000 dollars I've lost in business since you took over.

I have a question about billing and have been on the telephone on hold for over a half hour. There is no email option for contacting customer support since Aabasco/Luminate took over. Not being able to reach customer service has me looking to other providers for my online business support
