😠 horrible tech support at AvaHost
They switched servers, did not provide info on new settings and cannot/will not fix having my emails go to recipients' spam folders. No human tech support -- only bad emails and ineffective chats. Still haven't fixed the problem.

I am a happy customer of AvaHost, Life is not black and white, there are millions of colors, Information Technology in general and web hosting in particular is not perfect, but in my view and my last 5 years experience with hosting my website at AvaHost, I would say AvaHost is and has been more than a good hosting company. That was my experience with arvixe, they are not perfect so as others, but arvixe want to be the best.

After several years after hosting my website with AvaHost, I am overall very pleased with their service.I have experienced virtually no downtime, only the rare maintenance break that last for a few minutes. I never had any problem with my AvaHost account, which is pretty interesting. This is the only online company that I used without asking for support. I guess what I'm trying to emphasis on, is self-explanatory. I had several registered domains with them. Still have one. Everything is pretty straightforward and automated from the initial purchase to termination. They offer a lot of features. For me it's not much important. I never experienced any downtime. For the value you get what you pay for. I'm pretty satisfied with AvaHost because I'm not really interested facing issues that force me to go through the struggle of dealing with customer service guys, period!

Problems are very rare. They host my simple brochure site , plus a WordPress site I made for a friend.
Price seems reasonable, haven't seen anyone cheaper that's good. Also, their version of C-panel interface seems easier to use and more complete (more available software) than the one GoDaddy ( my employer's webhost) provides. I'd recommend AvaHost based on my experience.

On top of that they're pretty fast at getting things resolved. Their sales staff is also fast and helped me when I wanted to upgrade an account, they figured out my credit for money paid on an existing plan, and I was in action in about five minutes. AVAhost’s Support Live Chat does NOT work.
After waiting for hours, all inquires to AVAhost support receive terse, stupid, replies including “Unfortunately we doesn’t have phone support for Accounting and/or Sales Departments for english speaking customers, please check your spam folder at your email account.”
Furthermore, they claim to have not been our host for more than the last year?
They hide behind a veil and are actually in Russia

😠 Shut down with no warning, and no good reason.
I've been a customer of Avahost for over three years, with very few hiccups.
Two days ago, they shut me down - a primary domain and two additional domains I use for business, mainly email.
There was NO warning, nothing. I am paid up, in full.
I tried contacting Avahost through email, their silly online chat (which appears to be online, but isn't), their online form, and finally their job ticket system (which is sort of buried.)
I received the usual automated response, then a response from someone named "Alisha" that she was looking into the problem.
An hour later, I received another email from "Alisha" that she was sending it to her admin.
An hour passed, with no response.
So I emailed Alisha and her admin (sales email address), asking for fast resolution.
Four hours later, I received an email from "Max" with a ONE WORD answer: "SPAM", and an attached example of said "spam."
The "spam" in question was from my wife's email address - or appeared to be so.

😠 Ava Host was a mistake!
I have had a website with Ava Host for a week now and still have not been able to publish my site. It takes forever to get a response from their supposed support. They do not reply to email at all and I have to open a help desk ticket almost daily.

Their claim that it is easy to build your site even if you are a beginner is absolutely bogus. You have to activate a Site Builder (took several days and several help desk tickets) then it does not work half of the time.

I paid for two years in advance but am moving my domain and will be requesting a refund. I found hosting for half the price on one.com where I have another site and have never had a problem.

I went with Ava Host because I did not want to have to hire someone to design my site and their site promises it is easy. It is far from easy and is nerve wracking.

😠 What you’re dealing with at Avahost is just an automated reverse, vampire-like ATM….They promise everything, give nothing and just keep making excuses (by email only) and charging you for services you didn’t request. Started using Avahost over 5 years ago...their tools/templates were ugly and klunky, but easy to use, customer support was decent and the service was cheap. over time they have really adapted a screw the customer strategy. They used have chat and phone support, now they have neither, though they lie about that and say they do. You will notice that their on-line chat is never, ever, up. There is now way to contact them by phone; you will never get to deal with another human being live. Their flash builder tools don't work, and you won't find that out until you try and publish, after all your hard work. 😠 I have been with Ava Host / easy-to-build, since 2007, my site has been down several times for extended periods. There is NO WAY to call these people. The support link sucks. I have filled out support tickets, get an automated respones. Then I get a message the ticket is closed because my site is up, but it is NOT.
IU was alerted last week that my site was down, "Server Not Responding" and it is now going into Wednesday the following week and no help available. STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY.
I read some of the reviews here and all the + one are from it appears russians or ukarianians??? And then I read Avahost contact phone: 011-38015092757151 (Ukraine)??? WTF. That explains all the thiusands of russian spam emails I get every week.
I am going to dump AVA HOST, and transfer my domain to Name.com or Godaddy, where I can talk to a real employee who conveys that they really care about me as a customer, and NO EXTENDED DOWN TIME.

UNFORTUNATELY their costumer service, for the latest months, in technical support, has been getting worse and worse, and practically I am about to loose a costumer because they can’t solve nor answer to a technical problem.

😠 I so tried of our website being down and nobody doing anything about it beside saying sorry and we'll add one free year or 3 months. How much "free services have you actually gave me?" What happened to the "better server you said you switched me to?" Again our site has been down since Saturday and now I finding every review and telling them my situation with you guys which is I'm tried of the auto response messages and nothing fixed or it works for a day or so. The last month it has barely been up. Why do I want "free service" when it doesn't work and you have lied to me?? I'm going to get a hold of your owner and file a suit against your company for false advertising and whatever else my attorney can find. In the mean time I'm going to post all over the blogs on the web about my service not working and your customer "lack" of support and lies and lies, and more lies!!!!

issues during this time and they had fixed them within 15 minutes. Besides, I did not met such technical
support on any hosting! Always accessible by phone and by chat. Honestly, I advice to try their service.

😠 Their customer service is terrible. I give people credit who work a customer service position, I understand it is thankless, but at least do the best job you can. Response time is terrible, if there is a response at all, and the response is typically not very helpful. At one point, their UPS went down and they LOST my website. Luckily my webmaster had the files, so he could get it back up. They gave me 3 months free hosting for that. Wow.
I was inquiring how to get my billed paid automatically every month. They kept telling me to select "subscription" from the page I was on. There was no "subscription" on the page. So I took a screen shot, sent to them and said "do you see "subscription" anywhere?" and got NO response. Now my domain had expired, and I paid the bill. Amazingly, 7 and a half hours later, my site is STILL not up. I renewed for 3 years. Why? Because I don't want to go through the hassle of moving all my files over to a new host, plain and simple. 😞 They have good features and a decent price. But they offer a very slow MySQL database access (queries takes long time, so if you are using dinamic created webpages, your site gets lagged).
Also, I run a mailing list that sends, every 15 days, an e-mail to 2.000 subscribers. It were for more than a year, out of nothing, one day, they decided that I am an spammer and blocked my hole site. Not only my SMTP, but everything.
They cant understand the difference between opt-in mailing list and spam.

😞 I am a novice user. I signed up for this service because they offered a free basic site design program. In the 2 months I have been with the service the program has been DOWN half the time I have tried to log onto it. The site I designed has been up every time I checked so that's a plus but it is a business site so I need to be able to modify it often - which I have NOT been able to do. I have found the responses from customer support to be inaccurate. Once they told me it would be up and running in 24 hours it took nearly a week. I suppose I will have to put the time in and learn some web design skills but I really would rather not spend my time doing that. THEY SHOULD NOT BE ADVERTISING SOMETHING IF THEY CANNOT PROVIDE IT.

😠 These people are total morons. I signed for an additional domain name so that I could host 2 web spaces using 1 account...and they have diddled me around enough that I am switching to a different provider ASAP. Right now, I am trying to get them to tell me what information they need from me in order for me to switch. But, every question that I ask them is followed up by an almost non-relevant question from them. I am using the Basic Plan and had no problems UNTIL I had to ask a technical question. They have replied, but only after me badgering them for days and days.

Totally unacceptable...

😠 HORRIBLE HOSTING !! They advertise a 99% up time on their servers, GUARANTEED or your money back. But there is no way to collect on that guarantee since the only contact is thru email and all I get is " our higher level support has been notified of the problem" . Even had one that said there is no problem as far as they can see....30 minutes later another email that said the server was down and they are working on the problem. STAY FAR AWAY FROM THIS HOSTING SCAM !!!

😠 Have used avahost.net since 2003. No problem or hassle until last 2006. I have now had 6 months of unreliable SMTP server availability. Their lack of a published phone number makes it impossible to get to the root cause in an efficient way. I have decided to leave them, despite the pain of transfers.
