Mar, 2017 : SUSE Acquires HPE’s OpenStack, Cloud Foundry


📅 - SUSE, a well-known Linux vendor, announced back in November that it would be acquiring HPE's OpenStack and Cloud Foundry assets in order to increase its Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS) and Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) offerings. The deal is now finalized and several HPE employees are moving to SUSE, including:

Jim Meyer, VP of Engineering, Infrastructure as a Service
Jeff Hobbs, Director of Engineering

HPE also announced that SUSE is now its preferred partner for OpenStack and Cloud Foundry.

Google's VP of Technical Infrastructure, Urs Holzle, spoke about the expansion plans at the Google Cloud Next event in San Francisco on Thursday.
