Virtuozzo Takes Care of Security Issue Hackers Could Have Used


📅 - Virtuozzo found an issue with a Linux Kernel exploit this week and uploaded a fix for Virtuozzo 7 customers. This issue could have allowed malware users to get in and crash a Kernel. It could have potentially allowed a hacker to get all the way through to the virtual private server, which could have caused even larger issues.

Virtuozzo says it's proactive when it comes to security and takes immediate action to fix any exploits found. The vulnerability was discovered by Philip Pettersson and the fix was discovered by a Solar Designer on the team.
