📅 - Amazon Web Services or AWS is set to open a new office in Bahrain. The office will open on January 1, 2017 and will be found in Manama, the capital of Bahrain. This will be the first Middle East office for the company.

The new office will provides support for businesses of all sizes, along with AWS Cloud Training and Global Certification programs. With a commitment to move forward, the country's economy is a huge part of the decision for AWS to open up shop.

📅 - GoDaddy Purchases Host Europe - GoDaddy purchased Host Europe on Tuesday for $1.79 billion. This move will expand GoDaddy's a further reaching international presence, especially in the U.K. and Germany.

According to GoDaddy, the deal is expected to be finalized in the second quarter of 2017.

Host Europe started the search for a buyer earlier this year, with many companies showing interest, including United Internet and Deutsche Telekom.

📅 - AOL CEO ‘Cautiously Optimistic’ About Yahoo Deal - Following the cyber attack on 500 million Yahoo users, Verizon's deal to acquire Yahoo for $4.8 billion and merge it with AOL has stalled. Tim Armstrong the CEO of AOL is still optimistic that the deal will close. “I'm cautiously optimistic that it will happen,” he told recent attendants of the Business Insider's Ignition Conference. He added, “The companies are working well together. There's been a constructive dialog around things like the data breach that need to get resolved.”
