The new version 7.7.7 supports internal API functions for PostgreSQL 9.4 and 9.5, making backing up these databases very effective and reliable. The modified PostgreSQL backup tool uses the same interface as earlier and keep all backward compatibility, allowing using it for previous versions of PostgreSQL with the same efficiency as earlier.
Starting from this version, users can install standalone editions of Handy Backup (e.g. Professional and Small Server Backup solutions) to Hyper-V hosts, making backups of these dedicated servers as for any other single computer existed. These standalone versions use the traditional GUI for operating, as well as console run mode.
Finally, the Access Control List (ACL) rights are copying now with a dataset (file, folder or other object) linked to these rights. For file systems supporting ACL, these access rights are limiting accessing for backups, while for other cases, the program can restore the ACL data with an original dataset, providing an extra security level for processed data.
