GoDaddy Announced They Won’t Advertise During the Super Bowl in 2016


📅 - GoDaddy, a domain name provider and web hosting company, had recently announced they will break their streak of advertising in 11 straight Super Bowls this February. They will not run an advertisement this year due to the risqué nature of past commercials and the controversy they have caused.

A large reason for the move is to save money because the company reported a loss of $71.3 million in August. Last year, GoDaddy reduced the amount they spent for the Super Bowl ad and this year they will be using more data-driven marketing instead of Super Bowl advertising.

WiredTree announced the vulnerability and stated it could impact Joomla versions prior to 3.4.6. They recommended that users upgrade immediately and stated that any users of 1.5.X or 2.5.X could use “hot-fixes” to patch the issue.
