📅 September 5, 2014 - Netop today released a new version of their industry-leading remote support product, Netop Remote Control, which allows for secure connectivity with devices and end users across the Internet. This new version includes an updated version of Netop'sWebConnect communication protocol, allowing IT teams borderless connectivity – bypassing firewalls, proxies and routers. By using Netop Remote Control with WebConnect 2.0, service and technical teams can reach any machine across the Internet with 80% faster connection speed and 50% faster file transfer.

Netop Remote Control 11.7 is enabled to work with the updated, cloud-hosted WebConnect communication protocol. The combination lets support staff connect with customers without reconfiguring firewalls or compromising security – even on unmanaged networks. With WebConnect, IT pros no longer need to configure and maintain VPNs to support users beyond the boundaries of their networks. WebConnect exceeds industry encryption and authentication standards, providing the flexibility of Internet-based connectivity without compromising security.
