Sep 18, 2008 : CM4all Partners with Brazillian ISP

📅 - Web-based applications provider CM4all (http://www.cm4all.com) announced on Thursday it is expanding its business into Latin America through a new partnership with Brazilian Internet service provider iG Empresas (igempresas.com.br).

According to CM4all's most recent announcement, the ISP has now completed "its value added services portfolio with CM4all WebsiteCreator Business Edition."

CM4all recently updated its WebsiteCreator Consumer and Business Editions and showcased the newest features while at HostingCon 2008.

iG Empresas is a business unit of Internet Group (ig.com.br), a Brasil Telecom subsidiary, dedicated to providing web hosting services to SOHO and SMB markets, says the company. Located in what is considered South America's largest telecom market, Brasil Telecom is headquartered in the Brazilian capital and serves "the seventh biggest country in Internet usage."

"After an extensive market evaluation, we decided to integrate the CM4all WebsiteCreator Business Edition to extend our value added services portfolio," says Flavio Elizalde, director of iG Empresas. "Strategy wise it is an important step to decide on working with an external application provider. We have set ambitious goals and have high expectations but with the decision for the market leading CM4all WebsiteCreator, we are also pretty sure that we have chosen the right product and the right partner."

CM4all says it will adapt the user interface of the CM4all WebsiteCreator to iG Empresas' corporate design before installing it in iG Empresas' data center. CM4all will administer the software remotely, safeguard its availability and continuously update both the OS and CM4all application.

The launch of this service is planned for later this year.

With three million paying customers worldwide, CM4all is distributed worldwide via telcos, MSOs, ISPs and web hosts, including Endurance International Group, Hostway, Deutsche Telekom, Tiscali, Swisscom, Verio, NTT Communications and 1&1 Internet.

Other existing CM4all partners in Brazil include Terra Networks and Locaweb.

Most recently, UK-based web host WebFusion licensed the CM4all WebsiteCreator Business Edition to integrate into its hosting brands.
