Conxion Caches Streamed Content for Internet Radio Station

📅 - Conxion Corporation (http://www.conxion.com), a managed hosting provider, said yesterday it would provide Digitally Imported Radio, a popular Internet radio station, with caching technology to make its streaming music broadcasts more accessible.

Conxion's "Cache-on-Demand" service automatically draws content from Digitally Imported Radio's two streaming servers in New York, and delivers it globally through Conxion's own network. Conxion's "HotRoute" technology finds the closest Conxion server to ensure the fastest arrival of the content for each listener.
Cache-on-Demand is built on Conxion's high-performance global IP network. The service's key features include accelerated content, streaming and secure updates.
"All we had to do was connect our servers to Conxion's network, and our broadcast power was dramatically boosted," said Ari Shohat, founder of Digitally Imported Radio. "One recent event reached listeners all the way to Slovenia without a hitch, and we didn't need to buy additional streaming equipment to do it."
