Aug, 2002 : TruSecure Execs to Present at Conferences


📅 - Managed security service provider TruSecure (http://www.trusecure.com) announced on Monday that certain members of the company's executive team are scheduled to present at a series of security conferences occurring this month.

CEO Adam Joseph, CTO Peter Tippett and senior VP Peter Horst will address methods for mitigating and assessing information security risks, as well as preventing and fighting cyber terrorism in the financial services sector, at three conferences in August.
Tippet, says TruSecure, will present "Assessing Information Risk" at the 2002 Federal Financial Institutions Examination Council Information Systems and Technology Conference, occurring from August 5 to 7 in Pittsburgh.
Horst will address "Mitigating Risks in an IT Environment" at the Rawten Latinoamerica: First Annual Information Security and Business Continuity Conference held August 7 to 8 in San Jose, Costa Rica.
Joseph will present on "Banking and Financial Services: New products, developments and advances that will prevent and combat cyber terrorism" at the Sector 5: Global Summit Exploring Cyber Terrorism and the Targets of Critical Infrastructure in Washington, DC.

📅 - Digex to Cut 20 Percent of Workforce - Managed Web hosting provider Digex Incorporated (http://www.digex.com) said on Tuesday that it would lay off 200 employees, or 20 percent of its work force, in an effort to cut its expenses.
