As an agency, we need partners we can rely on. We have been very happy with ZeroLag and very much so enjoy working with them.

They are great from start to finish, providing our customers the expertise they need to get the best hosting environment for their site. Their admin panel gives us all the access to do what we need, when we need to. Their support system is second to none, and very timely. ZeroLag services are not cheap, but in the world of hosting, you get what you pay for, and I'd take reliable over bargain brand any day.

Overall we've been very happy with their service, and look forward to working with them more in the future.

😁 Zerolag is a great choice with competitive pricing.
We've been with Zerolag for over half a year and have been very satisfied. Zerolag has maintained competitive pricing and excellent support skill and response times.

We had gone with a local hosting provider for the past four years, but had been getting bogged down more and more as our volume and site traffic increased. Thankfully, an associate mentioned praises of a service oriented provider in California, Zerolag. We built a document comparing pricing, features, etc. of ten hosting providers and Zerolag came out on top.

We currently are hosting a Linux web server, and two Microsoft servers with Zerolag, setup was a breeze and the technical support team is very responsive, I have had issues ranging from basic security changes to VPN tunneling resolved within a day, they have very competent people in all departments and you get assigned an expert in the topic that your support request falls into.

😁 Great customer service
Very surprised by the other reviews. It's definitely not our experience and we know at least a dozen companies hosting there. If there are problems or attacks they are very fast. When we need solutions for performance improvements they will pull in the right resources and work through solutions.

It's far and above better than trying to manage your own hosting and they are 100 times more responsive than most other big hosting companies we've used.

ZeroLag offers industrial-strength, scalable, mission-critical networking to all of its hosted customers. Our network is designed to push tens of gigabits per second, and our outbound bandwidth capacity is currently 3,000 Mb/s, roughly the equivalent of 1,900 T1 lines working all at once. We design our network to have at least 1,000 megabits per second of spare capacity at all times.

We believe that our performance will help your company to excel. Second only to site design, the speed at which your site displays is critical to leaving a good impression with your customers. Hosting with some companies means slow access times and web pages that crawl during peak hours, but ZeroLag is always fast. If your company has an unexpected traffic spike, your site will not slow down, because we don't "cap" or limit your traffic like many hosting companies do. ZeroLag has set up a fault-tolerant network configuration. The ZeroLag routers are configured for high availability so that traffic coming into or going out of the ZeroLag network will automatically and nearly instantaneously switch over to a redundant network path in the event of a failure.

ZeroLag has three Internet connections to three separate routers operated by two different network providers. On the ZeroLag side, we have two high-performance Cisco edge routers. Our routers intelligently choose inbound and outbound network paths using BGP, the core routing protocol of the Internet.

On the customer side of the network, Virtual Router Redundancy Protocol (VRRP) and Hot Standby Router Protocol (HSRP) are used to provide high availability of the default gateway for each network block directly connected to the ZeroLag routers. VRRP and HSRP allow an IP address to fail over to a secondary device almost instantaneously in the event of a failure by creating a "virtual" IP address and MAC address which will be migrated between routers automatically.

Security
Along with performance and stability, security is a key goal of ours. ZeroLag's technical staff has of course been selected due to their technical background, but it is still notable that each member has professional experience working exclusively as a information security specialist. Our security-minded staff has created several security policies that will directly benefit you as our customer.

There are several important factors in maintaining good security, and we place emphasis on all of them. Our methods include three core layers of protection for your server: regular software updates, firewall protection, and intrusion detection systems (IDS). These three layers have protected our servers from every attempted break-in to date.

The fact that none of our systems have ever been compromised is something that we are very proud of.

Firstly, all of our engineers are subscribed to Bugtraq, CERT, and vendor-supplied security bulletins. We take interest in keeping up-to-date with the software flaws released, and pride ourselves in extremely quick upgrades in the event of a discovered flaw. We also notify our customers who may be running affected software on servers we don't control about these flaws so that they may upgrade and avoid any system compromise. Running outdated software is by far the number one cause of a break-in, and by upgrading our software continuously, we have avoided break-ins on our systems.

We have implemented extensive logging features on our Cisco firewalls that are under constant review by our staff for any signs of suspicious network activity. These same firewalls are used to create a defaultly secure network - that is, we do not allow access to your servers except in the ways you specify you want to access it. This eliminates the possibility that an attacker will be able to connect to your server in ways he's not supposed to.

All of our servers feature intelligent Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS) which are aware of any filesystem change and report to us immediately when a change takes place. This means that in the unlikely event of a break-in, we will be able to lock-out the attacker before any damage is done. We have performed penetration testing (where we break into one of our own servers) and have found our IDS systems to be very effective in alerting the staff to unusual activity.

As you can imagine, a break-in can have a seriously negative impact on a company. The aftermath is usually expensive (hardware is often intentionally damaged by an attacker), frustrating (amongst other things, the website is usually down for a period of time), and damaging (attackers often replace hacked webpages with a different, offensive webpage that will upset your customers). ZeroLag is a company based on professional security techniques, and we believe that we can protect your company from the many dangers of the Internet.

😃 Great host for our Magento site!
I have been with ZeroLag for years and have had a few site issues here or there. They were very responsive to my tickets and were able to get me up and running in no time. I have hosted with several other companies in the past and was let down on their "Magento expertise" that was promised. ZeroLag was able to meet our needs and worked with us to get our performance where we wanted it.

I would highly recommend ZeroLag for your Magento website!

😠 I used to work here actually. It was pretty bad. Their managers are real a-holes. To be honest, they treat their employees horribly and it reflects in their customer service. Bad company within, bad service without. My 2 cents. They also have a very low bar in the skills department, meaning most of their employees are uneducated boobs.

😁 Great service during Holiday season
I've only been with ZeroLag for a few months so far, but have had nothing but a great experience so far. My business relies on our website being up 24/7....so staying true to their 100% uptime guarantee over the holidays really paid off for me. Being able to reach someone through Skype, phone or email standing 20ft from my servers in their datacenter makes a world of difference as well.

This is so funny. I come on to post a bad review about this hosting company and there's already a slew of them out there. This hosting company is the worst. They have absolutely horrible response time for service requests. Also they've been reported to the BSA for software piracy for using pirated versions of Windows Server. Crooks!!

😠 Horrible experience with Zerolag Communications. I would not be writing this if I didn't feel compelled to warn everyone about the horrible service I received. The technicians are extremely condescending if you're not a systems admin. I'm a web designer and I need a hosting provider that will provide me the level of service I need to get my work done and online, not a two cent lecture on what I did wrong or overlooked because I was overworked in trying to get multiple major projects completed. I can provide details of my 1 star experience - they don't put me on a dedicated load balancer when our firm paid for our own equipment and were then placed on a shared server with another company. They will also take days to answer any questions or resolve issues. If you try to leave, they'll flat out delete your content or it will "mysteriously disappear" with no backups available. ZeroLag, like every company, is not perfect, but two of these reviews we suspect are the work of the same person and are a gross manipulation of the facts. Yes, we may on occasion make a mistake and yes, every so often we miss the mark on providing the level of customer service we aspire to reach 100% of the time. We learn from our errors and never make the same mistake twice thanks to our well kept operating procedures that are followed to the T by our staff. Our customer support staff is located in our datacenter, 30 feet from our servers, and many of our staff members have been with us for over a decade. The accusation that he or anyone would delete your content would never happen, not even once. We rarely touch our client's applications and if we do it is only with a client's written permission.

😠 ZeroLag SUCKS absolutely the worst hosting company ever
These clowns charge 500 a month for dedicated hosting when they really put the sites on shared servers!! I've had so many outages during the worst times. Think live event and post-live event media that viewers are watching and waiting for. Then imagine them not receiving their content for hours or days. I've had so many database problems as well with missing data and no backups to be found. Thankfully none of the credit card data was lost. I went with a bigger name.

😠 Zerolag does not have good TOS
Zerolag has sites such as dontdatehimgirl.com as customers. These sites post slanderous, spammed filth about women and also display their copyrighted photos. When asked to have content removed, site owners are non-responsive. Zero lag said site owners would contact me to no avail. Zero lag is now non-responsive. Unprofessional with no TOS policy. Violates W3CC Standards.
