Founded in 1993 by Pete Ashdown, XMission was the first ISP in Utah. They are also an eco-friendly company.

The company specializes in the following web hosting solutions:

Shared Hosting;

Shared hosting plans include unlimited DNS entries and unlimited domain aliases. These also include an easy-to-install WordPress toolkit, website builder and Imunify360 to protect your website from malware threats. People working with PHP, MySQL, FTP, Shell Access, Apache or CGI scripts will get support here as well.

Cloud servers can be managed or unmanaged depending on preferences. While unmanaged cloud servers offer customers physical hardware management on their own, fully managed cloud servers are provided with monitoring, security update and flexible system environment. These servers can easily be upgraded depending on the customers’ needs.

They offer good prices for their services, but cloud/VPS servers can be slightly expensive if compared to hosting providers that offer similar configurations.

The advantage for customers here is that XMission does not force customers for long-term contracts or contracts in general.
