😁 I was looking for a less expensive hosting option and thought I'd try a year of HoboHost. I wasn't expecting great performance, but the website and email are faster than my previous more expensive hosting company. It has all the functionality I need.

😁 Its supper host. can not be beaten! a host with cPanel and lots of free software . Highly professional people who know how to respond to any technical stuff. Site runs all the time Ok despite that I'm located in Europe! so not superfast speed (I'm not taking stars off just because of distance!) but reliable. my plan now expired but would take a new one without any hesitation...

😁 I have not had any large amount of downtime for 6 sites I have hosted there. Their help seemed to work fairly quickly. If you have small websites that don't provide much income, this is a great option to keep them hosted without costing an arm and leg. I appreciate their hosting service. Also you get a free SSL with each hosting. That saves a lot of money for small websites.

Got a $1 account with HoboHost yesterday. After I set up nameservers, the entire HoboHost site went down. Tried using different browsers and pinging, but no, the site is gone. Tried again today, this morning, more than 8 hours later, nothing still. I didn't get a chance to set up my site, so the only thing I've lost is the $3 I paid, but if this is any indication of the HoboHost service, I'm glad I found out now.

😠 They don't even have an area where you can change your credit card details. I am a developer and I bought this hosting plan for my client. Now I want to handover the account to my client but can't because my credit card details are still in there and I can't do anything to remove it.

😁 For the money Hobohost is quite frankly, astonishing. We're just arranging three sites to go live with them after testing that everything works as it should, site hosting through to email. We hit a few queries and support had it supported in 2-3 hours on each occasion, plenty good enough for most small business or personal websites, and very friendly. The hosting itself is pretty good with fast page loads, low connection latency and after 24 hours or so our test sites were automatically available via https and no certificate grumbles from the browser.
I've no idea how hobohost cover so much for the price of this hosting but if you're wanting to run a simple site or something like a single-age Wordpress site you can't go wrong. It's surprising how far 20GB web traffic actually goes too if your website is programmed half decently.
All in all, excellent provider.

😁 I've no idea why HoboHost has all these negative reviews. They're great, especially for the price. Each of their plans and their pricing is all super-transparent, support is very fast and helpful, and SSL certs are included. I mean, come on. It's $12 for their Floor package. There have been a couple times I've had to contact support (I'm only moderately familiar with working on the back end of a website) and they've been quick to send detailed responses even when I select that my support requests are of low urgency. Overall, I'm impressed with the value and service offered at HoboHost and I've glad these other reviews didn't deter me from opening an account with them.

I do not expect too much especially for the money I pay for this < a dollar.. cmon. I want a site to use it as a playground for my code and this fits the bill. What made me leave this review is the best customer service I got from Hobo. the person who helped me was Cody! He helped me a couple of times even when my questions were obvious. I like this Cody person and I am happy with his services to keep his customer happy.

Be careful I setup an account with them they then send me a message saying they need my drivers licence then I never hear from them again. I feel they may be scamming me as they took my Money, Credit Card details, and my Identification and now wont rely to me.

🗨 We responded in less than an hour confirming the domain registration and completed the order. The request for drivers license or government issued ID was to confirm the customer's identity with the payment method. Chargebacks with credit cards for fraud are a significant cost and when our 3rd party Maxmind (https://www.maxmind.com/en/home) flags an order we must do what we can to try and avoid fraudulent orders.

😠 I bought a domain name and web-hosting with Hobo-host. They sent me the e-mail confirmation for the domain name and charged my bank for it. Then for a about two days, I find that I can't get my ftp to work, email or anything. So, I figure it's just the domain propagation that's taking a bit. I go and do a whois lookup on my domain, because I want to just check out the privacy features. Their web-site is no too good and does not explain how their domain privacy works. Sometimes a privacy service will still leave your name exposed, but for this domain I wasn't too worried about it and I figured for the price I could deal with HoboHosts lousy website. When I looked up my domain, it wasn't registered. It was still for sale. Yet I was assured that everything was right by Hobohost. Basically, they lied and never registered my domain name. 🗨 Hello there, I reviewed this account and can see that you were cursing and abusive towards the support representative that helped you with this matter. We by no means cheated you over the $11.25 for your domain name you purchased. As the support representative said, there was an issue with the API when we tried to negotiate the registration with the registrar. Unfortunately, bugs like this happen in technology and we did not question a full refund for a second. Your IP address was blocked from orders because we have no interest in attaining customers with an attitude and mindset like yourself. All of your services were inactive which gave us an opportunity to end any future business relationship.

I have had multiple accounts with Hobo host for some time. Unfortunately their service is always going down. In addition their email has recently been completely broken. Upon reporting a problem their customer service staff are confrontational and unhelpful. Honestly - stay away.

Even though you violated our Terms of Service by registering multiple accounts under the names of clients of your own and tried to impersonate them, we still attempted to help you (or really YOUR client) with the issue regarding email forwarders. You never did follow up with us after we assured you it was working by setting up a forwarder that sent emails to our own account. The description of our service always going down I'm sure is related to the recent outages we had due to a serious DDOS attack on one of our shared IP addresses that we had to null route traffic to due to the extent of the attack. We have done many things to prevent such an outages in the future and worked diligently to resolve the attack just as we did to resolve the issue you had. We hope you'll respond to our support ticket response and either tell us the issue is resolved or help us diagnose any potential issue(s) remaining.

4 months as customer on hobohost floor plan. I use uptime monitor to monitor the downtime of some sites hosted there and for past 4 months without fail, there will be at least 3-4 outages per month that last on average 2 hours. One even lasted 4 hours. Well, I did not make noise. Come one day, I found that access to my websites are either sluggish, took extremely long to load or returning 508 error. Sent a ticket and the reply was most impolite and dismissive and simply push the fault to me, claiming that a wordpress vulnerability for past FEW days had throttled my wordpress sites and insinuating that it was MY fault for overwhelming their servers LOL! Conveniently ignoring the fact about the frequent and extensive outages for PAST 4 months. I had dealed with many hosting before. I can tolerate performance lapses, but not atrocious customer service. Sucks big time!

😁 I have been hosted by Hobohost.com now for about a year I think. And I've been pretty happy with the hosting so far. I currently have the Floor Package for a smaller site of mine and I have a VPS for my larger site. The price for the plans they offer are amazing in my opinion and you get what you pay for. As a matter of fact, I posted a ticket on Hobohost for 5 minutes ago and I already got my reply back with positive results. The support is amazing and the team is a happy bunch of people. The control panel they are using is cPanel which is the best one out there in my opinion.

😃 I've been with this "HoboHost" company for 3 months now, and couldn't be happier! I started my hosting with them because they were so darn cheap, but little did I know the great support they offer! They have fixed my forums, databases, and other scripts multiple times when I thought all hope was lost! All this help was free! I used to have Bluehost, but they never wanted to help me with a single thing! HoboHost truly takes care of their customers, even though they seem to be a little comical with their advertising strategy! ;)
