Throughout time, the most of the world's energy consumption originates through the use of I.T. applications and services. This is rising at a fast rate as more businesses are rapidly introducing new I.T. applications and services to improve the overall functionality of their business. It is a fact we cannot deny, so we've skipped the stage of denial and have already jumped ahead to taking action now!

At ComfortHost, we have already started to reduce energy consumption and give back to the environment in which we've taken so much from. Such steps include:

Utilising new Virtual Machine technology. Using popular Virtual Machine technologies we are able to reduce up to 60% of energy consumption!
Utilising new Blade Technology. Using the new Blade Server technology we are able to utilize space more efficiently fitting more servers per square inch. Blade servers are also more efficient and use less power and require less cooling than their counterpart Rack Units.

Data Center

Servers naturally output a large volume of heat. Within our Data Center our servers are housed in our intelligently placed cabinet setup. Our setup allows maximum natural cooling which reduces the excess air cooling requirement.
Our Data Center's HVAC design utilizes multiple cooling methods which allow our unique cooling method to function throughout the year. Our cooling methods include Glycol cooling and Air cooling. During the winter periods we are able to utilize the outside cool air for a free cooling method to add towards our redundancy.
Within our Data Center we use energy efficient light bulbs. Compact fluorescent bulbs use 80% less energy and last up to 8 times longer than conventional light bulbs!
All servers and equipment we purchase are based on a low energy to high performance guideline.
