I tried to migrate my SMF board from a different host to Brontoservers to which I've heard from a friend who'd tasted the facilities and convinced himself to work with Brontobytes.
I'm no coder or some, just tried to do the right stuff via the knowledge I got from SMF support boards but I failed every time.
At last I've noticed that hosting guys at Brontobytes could give me the support for migration and they really did well, I appreciate that great help, this was beyond my abilities.

😠 Dealing with Brontobytes has been a bad experience. I bailed out early as soon as I realized that entrusting my business to them would be a very foolish thing to do. I accepted the loss of some money by doing so, but things got worse. I had purchased my domain name with them, and once I had found a new hositing service, Brontobytes became invisible. They would not redirect my domain to the new nameservers, would not answer my emails (they give no telephone numbers - beware of anyone who will not list a telephone number), denied me access to my account for managing my domain. eNom tried to help but ultimately was unable to. I had to lodge a complaint with ICANN to try to get access to MY domain name. If anyone is considering doing business with these people, please think twice. There are too many alternatives out there for you to gamble on these amateurs/shysters.

The first owner of Brontobytes, while perhaps being a bit dry in his answers, seemed to always deal correctly with customers, even in requests for refunds. The first owner of Brontobytes, while perhaps being a bit dry in his answers, seemed to always deal correctly with customers, even in requests for refunds.
