😠 Files randomly disappearing off the server. Site would just randomly break after scheduled maintenance. Called support on the phone - the only response you get is file a support ticket.
Support ticket system was throwing php errors, tech support guy refused to take my case on via the phone, or admit there was a problem on their support system or even just post the case for me.
Seriously, these guys are bad. Worst hosting experience ever.

😠 Poor billing practices
AUSWEB refuses to refund money on a service renewed in error. They credit my "account" with them but will not refund money. Complaint in process with Dept of Fair Trading. Customer service is sarcastic and unhelpful. Look elsewhere. I will be when my service expires. See www.wigney.org

For the price asked, AUSWEB offers plenty of great features. Service is reliable and consistent, and working with the support staff has been very pleasant. I did quite a bit of comparison work before choosing AUSWEB , and I’m very glad I chose them. Although cheap (after special offers), this host has more than I need to manage my website. Everything was easy to set up, and maintaining the site is a piece of cake. I have absolutely no plans of changing hosts.

😠 I purchased Ausweb's reseller package and been with them for about an year..
The 1st reason I dont like Ausweb because; eventhough its says its uptime is 99% but my server has been done several times during the 1 year period and they just give some kind of an explanation to get away from the problem.
The last time my server was down was on the 17th of March 2009. I was so pissed off and I contact them, This is what they said ;

It seems the particular server/switch/cabinet you are on is having a network issue, because one of the Power Circuits at Equinix has failed and as such it is affecting our upstream provider and as a result one of our networks.
The Equinix technicians and our staff are in the Data Center to deal with this issue a quickly as possible.
Please read the announcement regarding this incident.
